Thanks Sam. I don't know if I have ever had Floridian wine. How'd the sweet potatoes turn out?

Had to baby sit the great grans. So Gloria kept the little one & I took the 8 year old GG son to the golf driving range. He plays good & drives the ball about 150 yards. Pretty good for an 8 year old!

Will try to test the Heavenly Sweet Potato Dream tomorrow. Stay tuned!

Ken, that looks great If it's a dessert, do you have any ice cream? Last weekend we experimented with a "Vanilla Cream Cheese Apple Cobbler"...

The aroma was awesome. If we keep this up, we may wind up gaining weight and having great left overs

It was my first attempt at apple pie. The crust turned out great, but I got the top too dark. Will make some adjustments on the next one. Roger that one the weight gain, Drew! I am looking forward to some great food and great times!

I don't know, the top looks beautiful. If we were camping, I would have offered to be the "test subject", though I don't know how many 'samples' I would have needed.

I agree with Drew - looks pretty good to me. If you have one side darker than the other you might rotate the lid every 15 minutes. That keeps the hot spot down.

Naw, Sam I did rotate the lid every 15 minutes...I had applied an eggwash to the top before baking. Next time I will omit the wash. I think I will reduce the heat on the lid as well.

How long did you bake the pie for? Maybe try the egg wash for the last 15 minutes or so...

It baked an hour. That's a great idea Drew!

We're actually going to be at Indian point on Table Rock. Made reservations a couple months ago, hopefully Ivan behaves himself and doesn't dump too much rain on us.

We went to Pomme de Terre a couple of weeks ago and it was awesome. Not many campers, and it was quiet with a nice little beach.

This weekend I'm on call, so not much.

Brad how was Mt. Rushmore? We had to forgo our trip this year due to other 'stuff'

We may try to go to Knob Noster in Sept, unless something else pops up.

We are looking forward to Branson in Oct.

We're in the Seattle area. Decided to hang around through Labor Day to avoid looking for RV parks over the long weekend. Nice RV park here off Bainbridge Island - Eagle Tree RV.
Headed down to Oregon Tuesday.
Can't wait to see all our friends at AIR MidWest.

Wow! We need to talk about the good RV parks in that part of the country. That trip is on our schedule for next year. Our trip to Maine has been postponed, and we are in the process of building a home in Hot Springs Village.

Carol, we have loved your pictures, and look forward to sitting with you and Ray and hearing about your trip

Glacier NP is on our growing 'Bucket List', but it appears that a trip to the 'high' desert of 29 Palms will be added to that list as well.

Continue to have fun and be safe, and see ya in Branson

Drew and Carol
