Rally Schedule

Here it is folks.

Here is to hoping winter finally lets go.....

We will have to close the reservations two weeks prior so that we can give the RV park an accurate count, so if you plan to attend, please follow the link to the RSVP here:

Airstream Forums - AIR Midwest 2015 Spring Rally April 16-19

No need to call the RV park.

One other thing, please arrive with cash or check to pay for your camping spot. Due to the level of discount given to rally attendees, the park WILL NOT ACCEPT CREDIT or DEBIT CARDS.

We are looking forward to a great rally.

The schedule sounds great!! I like the "ish" part! I will have to dig out my favorite tie-dyes and big bell-bottoms! Peace-Love-Dove and all that stuff!

Oh, and I just had another thought...we should decorate our trailers in the 60's "Groovy" theme! Sandy, I know YOU can do it!

We have never been to a rally. Do we have to be a member to come? My wife is a teacher, so we would have to roll in Friday late afternoon.

No, one does not need to be a member of anything.

You may arrive anytime.

The above post with the rally schedule, has a link to the sign up page. If you would like to attend, just sign up there and show up when you can.

The only cost is for your camping spot, payable via cash or check to the park upon your arrival.

We have a fun group and keep things easy.

We hope you can make it! The Air Midwest rally is always fun and no dues or membership required. Just come relax and enjoy the weekend. We are arriving Thursday night and will think about the 60s food choices.

I miss spoke! And I agree, you don't need to join any group or club.

In joining the Air Midwest group here on the forums creates a members listing under the Air forums clubs. This group listing would be useful for future events and rallys. not to mention this would give a tally of Air Midwest members. it would be fun to see the numbers increase.

so it is your call join or don't but be sure to join in the fun!

Hey Gang, a little info about the town we will be camping near this spring rally.

Grove Chamber of Commerce
Letter from the President -
Whether you are planning a family vacation, reunion, or a quick get away, we welcome you to visit Grove on beautiful Grand Lake o’ the Cherokees!

If history is your passion you will be thrilled when you visit one of the largest antique museums in the United States - Harber Village Museum. The village sits on the shores of Grand Lake in a beautifully landscaped setting. With over 100 buildings, collections and exhibits you will be sure to find something that sparks a memory or two!

You may enjoy a stroll though the three-acre botanical gardens at Lendonwood Gardens Take in the beauty of over 1,500 different plants then sit and rest a bit in the Japanese tea pavilion on the edge of a Japanese garden pond stocked with thousands of koi fish.

Getting out on the lake is a must when visiting Grand Lake. With over 1,300 miles of shoreline the lake accommodates a wide range of water activities for the entire family. Power boat, cruise, sail, water ski, parasail or just jump in! Any way you choose to enjoy the water – we won’t disappoint you!

The Grove Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to come visit us! Experience our lifestyle and you will see why we say we are “Living the Grand Life”!

Question? How many kids will be attending?

Kids is defined as 15 years young. I know some may conseder them selfs as kids but I am thinking activitys for the kids, like map reading knot tying, compass reading, bug ID. Plant ID.

Let me know what you think?

"Live Riveted"

Hey All Air Midwest Group Members,
going to the Spring 2015 Rally?

I will be offering a "Live Riveted" Aluminum craft time, during the Spring Rally.
So come one, come all, to a "hands on" fun time making a Riveted Aluminum Name tag. No cost just a fun time learning how to use some sheet metal tools and do some real Riveting like the Airstreams have.

finished name tags are great for automatic introductions, wear yours to the potluck.

I know most of you already know your own name, but incase you forget and or get lost your name tag will help others get you home. And the rivets and aluminum is a dead giveaway where you belong!! So get yours!

Date: Friday April 17th 2015
Time: 2:00 3:00 4:00 5:00 6:00 and make up on Saturday the 18th at 1:00ish or ?
Duration: plan about 1 hr. For yourself.
Location: Ceder Oaks RV park near Grove, Oklahoma , not sure we have a central meeting place assigned to us yet so stay tuned if your intersted.
Host: Derald Wilson "Indy"

PS
AirMidwest also has a FaceBook Page that is also used for fun information, so go out and like our page, not all Airstreamers use the airforums so join us at; https://www.facebook.com/groups/865721750133640/

Sounds great Derald! We will be in mid-afternoon Friday, so the 4 or 5 pm would work better for us. The campground does have a clubhouse and I'm sure we will have one of the 2 rooms in it. Getting excited to see everyone again and meet new friends too!

GiGi & I will not be able to attend & we will miss being with the "old timers" and meeting all of the "AMW Newbies". Unfortunately, I recently had a Basal Cell Carcinoma removed from my nose & my appointment for reconstruction conflicts with the Rally. Good News - they got it all!

"A word to the wise": Lather up with 50 spf Sun Block every morning!
