RESERVATION UPDATE
I spoke with the RV park today and would like to update everyone.
They have decided to not require a deposit or pre-arrival reservations for this rally.
So, for now we shall say just show up and expect to pay for your spot upon arrival.
We will hope for the best!!
Regards,
JD

I called the RV Park as well and got the same answer. I guess as long as we are on the Sign-in sheet we should be ok.

Oklahoma
We just moved to the Midwest last summer and this is our first spring season around here. I wanted to ask all of you more native folks, what is the weather situation like in April? I am a little (ok, a lot) worried about tornado season and camping in Oklahoma especially. What's your take?

Hi there!
As a lifelong Okie resident, the Spring is, of course, typically rainy and can bring thunderstorms and tornados, but there is a lot of pre-warning of the probability of tornados and we always stay "weather aware". If it were to happen, I would just leave in the opposite direction! Or, if not possible, take cover in the best possible place. I don't know if this RV park has a storm shelter or not. With weather changes all over, you can never be sure, right? Many times our rallys have been in rain and thunderstorms, but we always manage to have fun anyway. Right people? Bring your raincoat just in case!

Let me know if a craft project is desired. As I posted in the fall rally thread we can do a riveted name tags! Open for suggestions.

Love the crafty riveted name tags idea. I save my scrap also. How do you cut so straight and flat. Mine curls a bit.

Straight cuts, don't tell the wife but I used her paper cutter! The alum. Is very thin roof flashing type, and not that this helps but I am a Retired Sheet Metal guy.
Scars to prove it.
Or you can use snips that are made for straight cuts = longer blades.

I will be glad to share some of my how to's when we meet!
Fun, fun, food and more fun.

Thank you in advance for all involved in organizing this Rally.
We met several of you (who are signed up) at the Mid-Missouri Boondock last Fall and enjoyed the company. Looking forward to meeting new friends too.
Is anyone bringing their kayaks, boats, and things that float?
Cheers
Eric & Kathy

Got it on the calendar - and........you ain't lived 'til you weather a hail storm. We've been caught in three of those suckers - makes you cut a few button holes. Just pea size but sounded like base balls. No damage thankfully

I noticed that some of us have not signed up on the sign up list for the Rally. Looks like that's what the campground is using for the reservations so please sign up.
Looking forward to seeing all. "Love and Peace"
