Good news on the cach Sam,
we will see you at the next Rally. Take care.
This may give you some more practice time with you Volcano and your DO cakes not that you need any. After having some of you award winning DO Desert I went out and bought a nice bottle of Spiced Rum for my Zucinnie bread and the critics are still out!
See you soon.

Looking forward to the Zucinnie Bread!
My Volcano runs way too hot on propane & I'm thinking about using a high pressure regulator to give better flame control on low. Years ago I used a HP regulator on a fish fryer with some success. Any thoughts?

I agree Sam, the Volcano runs very hot when at low settings, I know nothing about the regulator side of things but it make since.
Sam, can you send me a private message with your snail mail address, I have a little something for you!

I was also told to cover the deflector (one with hole & finger cutouts) with HD Foil. Haven't tried it yet. Propane is toooo hot for anything except boiling water, but it really can do that!

OK folks, we are two weeks out.
We will close the sign-up page on April 10th, so we have a good solid number of attendees to plan for.
Winter has been a little tough to get rid of this year, so there is no telling what we will get. One could need everything from shorts to a parka this time of year.
More soon.
Regards,
JD

Ha it sounds like we were all camping over Easter weekend. We drycamped/boondocked at a great place called Council Bluffs in MO - we were the only ones there and had a great maiden voyage with no electric or water - gotta tell ya - the larger fresh water tank in the 23ft makes all the difference - we DID use our generator so that I could use the Keurig but are prepping for a big trip this summer that includes a few National Parks with no hookups and no generators - guess I'll pack some instant coffee....
Sad to be missing you all at the Rally - be sure to update the forum with posts so we can feel like we are there - if you all have cell service someone should set up a GoogleHangout so we can be "virutally" there

LAST DAY TO SIGN UP!
The park is getting full and needs a good count to keep our group together, so we will close the sign up list this evening.
The current long term forecast lists the obligatory 30% chance of rain on Thursday.
If anyone knows a witch doctor or weather god that would send good weather for the right sacrifice, let me know and we will come up with something.
Otherwise, everyone think pretty weather when you can!
Regards,
JD

Not sure when we will arrive, but we plan to leave Friday after Shane gets off work. We will likely miss the meet 'n greet.
Today, I am trying to put together a shopping list. Trying to remember foods from the 60's, but we were babies back then!
All I can think of is Spam, mac n cheese, potato salad, fried bologna, deviled eggs, and jello salad! Lol!

Potluck is Saturday at 6:30-ish.
I'm making Spamburgers and jello salad.
Just kidding! Haven't decided yet.

We may have 4 crock pots of meatballs, but I bet the don't taste the same!
We will get there Thursday afternoon.
