GA Mountain AIR - Spring

GA Mountain AIR - Spring Edition

Rally Dates: April 21 & 22, 2017

Reservations: Jan. 3rd, 2017 (706) 896-4191

Location: Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Area 2, sections B, C, D, E & F
(Full hook up, 30/50 amp, wifi, cable, water)

Address: 1311 Music Hall Rd. Hiawassee, Ga. 30546

In the great tradition of Springtime, Airstreamers in the Southeastern region of the U.S.will rally together once again during the month of April in the same beautiful campground at Georgia Mountain Fairground in Hiawassee, Georgia.

Starting with the first meet-up in Hiawassee in 2005, the Springstream rally. (and its Falluminum counterpart) have been faithfully organized by Alan & Shannon David for over 12 years! With a strong emphasis on fellowship, inclusiveness, and relaxed scheduling, gathering in Hiawassee has become a tradition for many of us who have attended over the years to meet, share information, and enjoy time together as spring blossoms bud and temperatures warm up.

This year, after learning of Alan's involvement with the Vintage Camper Show at Atlanta Motorama in April, and that he was not planning Springstream for 2017, we assumed the rally would not be held. A few committed Streamers came together and planned a rally.

We've since learned that Alan was indeed planning to hold Springstream at another location, but not before arrangements had been made with the good people at Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds who graciously agreed to hold 30- 40 sites in Area 2 for us as well as the pavilion for Friday evening and all day Saturday.

So the bottom line is.....we now have TWO great rallies in Hiawassee to attend during the month of April!

As always, rally events include a Friday icebreaker, Saturday morning brunch, a Saturday afternoon Tour of Trailers, Saturday evening potluck, after dinner entertainment, and campfires!.

Ron (PizzaChop)

Matt (mbmbstreamer)

Lynnetta (SomeDay 59)

Geven (StreaminGuy)

Glad to see another GMF outing

I'm glad to see another. Spring outing at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. We have always enjoyed Springstream and Falluminum. I noted Alan is also doing a rally at a different venue. IMHO there can't be too many events. Hopefully we will be able to make both events next Spring.

Also, thanks and kudo's to Alan and Shannon for organizing and hosting Springstream and Falluminum over the many years!

We agree!

We all have many fond memories of our rallies at GMF going all the wae back in 2005., when Alan first moved the Airforums rally there. We're hooked on the location as its been very good to us.

(Okay, the pavement can be rough on kids with bicycles.)

We hope to make both rallies as well so maybe we'll see you twice in April (unless you surprise me again with an unexpected visit at the pizza store)!

Hope to see you in April!

The Fairground in Hiawassee is one of our favorite camping spots. The lake offers great boating and the area has great hiking and beautiful sites.

great, Your rally will be a fun alternative to the Motorama show. I will be there for the weekend at The Atlanta Motor Speedway.
GMF could have treated us better, hopefully they will this time around.

But for me to get all the way to the Fairgrounds, i have to drive almost 15 minutes. With so much traffic, I hope I can make it! I'll plan on it though.

I don't think we have any of those wigs left. I think we donated them to the cancer treatment center. But Cheryl got this for Halloween!

We're booked into site F10 for Friday and Saturday nights.

Looking forward to camping (actually, we're heading to Myrtle Beach next Friday for a 4 day mini-vacation. Then I'll winterize the camper: save on propane...).
