AIR Midwest : AIR Midwest Spring 2014 Glamping Rally April 11-13

Acorn acres was recently sold. Actually, the staff member that normally worked in the office has recently left as sge isn't gappy with the new owner's policies. Every time I called Acorn Acres, I got a teenager who couldn't answer my questions, and who twice told me she woukd have her parent call me back about the rally. After waiting ling enough, and seeing that they wouldn't reduce the rec room cost of $150 for the weekend, I decided against it.

I plan to, but I just want to have all the Compton ridge info finalized. The rate before discount is hefty, and I sont want to scare anyone away!

I hate to hear about the changes at Acorn Acres. We had some good times there and Cheryl always threw in the big room & kitchen for free, and the basement if we needed it. Guess we had it made there & didn't know it! I've missed it.

Compton's is good, though, and right across the road from Billy Gail's - a huge plus in our minds! Maybe a bunch of us can get together for breakfast like we have in the past.

We will try to come. We're way up north, heading to Niagara Falls tomorrow, then back home, then to Florida, Savannah, etc.

My mom will turn 85 on October 26, so we may have to leave early, but we'll try to make it a week or so prior to the rally so we'll see most of you.

Don't forget, someone let Captain Don & Jerry know!

I just noticed a new thought about a rally this fall, am I reading that correct? If so where and when. My wife and I attended a rally a couple of years ago at Acorn but have been unable to attend since then in the spring. This fall sounds like a good option.

We also need a solid date and location before we can decide. I have vacation Oct. 20 - 25, but Shane doesn't. I'm weighing my options, so count us as a maybe?

LOL! I would but Steve is a pro at the rallies and will set one up once everything is confirmed. We will try to make it but not sure if that weekend works for us, October is a busy month for me and we always go to Eureka Springs the last weekend of October but if miss this rally, it would be the first time we couldn't make it since we have had our Airstream! We will keep y'all posted.

This is correct Sam, but I woukd leave off "if we get 15 campers". The cost goes up without the 15, but we should still get together if we can't gater 15.
