Limoncello-Of Course
It would not be a spring rally without limoncello. I think i have two bottles in bottom of our freezer. Our Meyers Lemon tree has frozen in each of the last two years. This Fall we went from 400 softball sized lemons to two miniature sized lemons. We had over 50 blossoms this spring and all have fallen off the tree without a single lemon. The store bought meyers lemons do not look or taste like what was on our tree so this rally might be the last of the really tasty limoncello.

Greg - I think I still have a bottle that you gave us a few years ago, I'll bring with me.

OK, so not creative, but Friday dinner (supper) will be beef and chicken fajitas cooked by our pitmasters. Bruce and I will provide the meat, tortillas, guacamole, cheese and grilled peppers/onions. Any other contributions for dessert, sides, appetizers, etc. are welcome. Let's plan on eating about 6:30.
Saturday night potluck, same time, 6:30. Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

I hate this, but I'm going to have to cancel my reservations for the rally. My faithful tow vehicle is in the shop.
I'll miss seeing all of you.
If anyone needs a spot, I plan to call RoadRunner RV park early tomorrow morning and cancel.

What a wonderful Rally, again. Thanks to Rosanne for being the most grateful host. In the absence of Bruce we managed to get the meals cooked, but it took 5 of us. LOL.
It was good to see and spend time with our old friends and meet some new ones.

Thank you Roseann for a fun rally. We didn't miss Bruce one bit! Thanks to Sid and all the pitmasters for the great food. And thank you Jerry for sharing your son's new brewery beer with everyone!
See you next year.

Another successful Hill Country Spring Rally! Thanks to all who helped me in Bruce's absence (although he swears he would rather have been here in Johnson City rather than France). The food was great, we made new friends, caught up with friends from previous rallys, and in general had an outstanding visit, cold weather notwithstanding!
PLEASE NOTE: Mark your calendars for next year's 8th Annual Texas Hill Country Spring Rally to be held at same location, Roadrunner RV Park, in Johnson City, Texas from April 12 - 14, 2019. Park owner has been notified and has us down, so never too early to make your reservation. Hoping to see everyone down the road.

Our second Hill Country Rally with a bunch of great folks! Weather was a bit chilly, as evidenced by Greg shivering over the BBQ on Saturday evening! Nothing a little "lemon cello and Fire Ball" couldn't warm up, however! Thanks for the friendship and sharing of great food! Hope to see you all next year! When in Austin, stop by Hi Sign Brewing and say "Hi"!
