dutchstream : dutchstream

Click the link above to get to the new dutchstream site. I think you will have to join yahoo but it is FREE. I think it is as easy to get around in as this site. This will be a way that we can keep in touch with each other. Also post upcoming events that we might all get together and camp. I have uploaded photos of our rally in October 2009. Check them out. Also photos of the Springstream 2009 rally in Hiawassee Georgia. Check the calendar for some of the upcoming events.

Wow we would love that!!! I have been wanting to learn how to use them, but never had the chance. We moved here in the summer of 2008 and have only taken one camping trip to NC since then. We are going to the Doogwoods Airstream get together and that looks like our first camping this year, but hopefully we will be able to get out ALOT more this summer. We are camping in a 24' Argosy that we are redoing on the inside

Are you going to the Corn Bread Festival in S. Pittsburg? If so, I'll see you there. Won't be camping, but will be there on Sunday supporting them and advertising a Bluegrass Festival that is the next weekend. If you are interested in Bluegrass music, you might want to check this out as well. The website is www.Boxcarforeverbluegrass.com. The festival is held at Raccoon Mtn Campgrounds here in Chattanooga and is a fun, music filled weekend.

Good morning Kathy,

Yes I plan to be there for the Corn Bread festival. Trying to find a campground close to South Pittsburg. Do you know of any? I would like to see if Lodge would let us camp at the factory. My boss is checking on it.
I have to work the next weekend so I can't make the Bluegrass festival.
Are you going to Springstream? We are on site C-7 by the lake.

Morning, there are several campgrounds around So. Pittsburg.

Cloudland Canyon State Park on top of Lookout Mtn, 706-657-4050, 800-865-7275, they take reservations over the phone. This is one about a 20/30 minute drive to So. Pittsburg.

Lookout Mtn KOA, lookoutmountainkoa@yahoo.com, 706-657-6815, nice campground at the bottom of Lookout Mtn, take I-59, then the 1st exit--Slygo Road. Easy on, easy off freeway. This one is about a 15/20 minute drive to So. Pittsburg.

Raccoon Mountain Campground, raccoonmountain.com, 423-821-9403,Lookout Valley exit off of I-24. This one is at the bottom of Raccoon Mtn and has full uphooks. This one is about a 30 minute drive.

Marion County Park, couldn't find a phone number for them, but it is the closest to So. Pittsburg. Reviews are ok, older bathhouses, lots of geese, some shaded spots. This one is on Nickajack Lake and is about 10 minutes from S. Pittsburg on Highway 41.

There is one at Guild, TN, called Camp on the Lake. I do not recommend this one at all.

We will be at Springstream in site E-2. We are also talking about coming to the Dutchoven rally in October. Hope this helps.

Looks like we will attend this rally in October. Now just have to get reservations!

Ok, I've got reservations and was told I am the first one to get reservations! We asked for a site on the river.

Jim, that's great! I would hate to be the only one at your rally. But I'm sure I could find something to do if I were the only one! Been wanting to go to Dollywood again and that would be the perfect weekend to do it!

Jim,
I just signed up on your Yahoo group for this, I am planning to be at the Oct gathering in our new/old 1997 34ft AS, just have not made reservations yet. I have a trip I am concentrating on getting done at the end of may before I put out money for anything else.

I have started a new web site. Please take some time a visit it. I have posted photos of our rally last year, the Chuckwagon cook off in Pigeon Forge and the DOG we attended at Panther Creek last week end.
Dutchstream - Home

I think this will be the last of my exploring around for a site for "Dutchstream". This web looks promising. Check it our and get acquainted with it. I'll be using this site for my Dutchstream rallies. I'll also use the Air Stream forum to list stuff.

I'm pretty exited about this site.

It's official! We put in for vacation for this. We have the whole week after the rally to explore the area. Trying to decide if we should stay at the campground after the rally or go check out another one. Our main concern is our truck. It does not like big hills with the trailer. Looks like we are OK getting to Sevierville (we are coming from Illinois) but where do the mountains really start? We have taken it to Branson but it looks like the hills are bigger in TN.

Glad to see you found my web site. Thank you for joining.

When you get to the camp ground you will see the mountains. This is a nice clean campground. You are only 1/2 mile past the Lodge store, Knife Works, Coleman and the Tool store. There are many things to do in this area. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are only a short hop down the road. At the campground office they will have many brochures of the area.

We do a lot of Camp Dutch Oven cooking at this rally. I will be offering help on cooking to anyone that needs it. Bring some friends with you that like to camp. This rally is open to everyone.

See you at the Dutchstream rally.

Your hosts,
Jim & Regina
