Music and Dancing too

Codybear,

You may want to add 29 Palms Rally to your heading to avoid confusion.

We voted for number 1....don't forget there is live music and dancing at the Clubhouse included in the dinner price, at least that is the rumor.

Hi John,

Yes there is the added fun of Dancing/entertainment at the Park's Clubhouse..they even have a Happy Hour for all to attend to..I think there's beer there that they ask for a donation..

It might be fun to have our own Happy Hour and/or dinner and then head over to the clubhouse for dancing and entertainment (for those who want to go). Does anyone know if you have to sign up for the whole evening (Happy Hour, dinner, dancing AND entertainment?) at the Clubhouse or what they might be serving? You never know what you might get to eat...you know those crazy SOB owners ! And I bet they don't even offer Margarita balls...

Whatever we do is fine with me.

You may want to add it. Course I figured it out reading the posts... but food and drink festivities. Some one call moi? PAR-TAY! I was all over the thread pronto. Sounds like fun. Wish I wasn't so far East.

I am going to vote with BC. I like the idea of a pot luck dinner and then hit the rec area if you want. This gives us the chance to sit together as a group and get to know each other. If we go to the club house for dinner, all of the tables for 40 may be taken when we get there. If we have a pot luck at noon, who is going to be hungry at 5PM? I think the rule is always wait 12 hours before your next meal after a pot luck.

Hi BamCamper,

Happy Hour and Dinner/Entertainment/Dancing is open to all Park attendees.
If you want to attend, just show up there..You can buy the tickets for Dinner at the Clubhouse and stay for the rest of the activities..I asked Leslie about the Dinner menu..she says she said..it varies..and by the time we get there, it may be different, but one of the dinners they've had was a steak dinner, another one was a spaghetti dinner.

Steve and I've stayed here before..I remember having our own dinner, then wandering over to the Clubhouse..there was entertainment when we showed up..a fellow they hired was crooning songs a la Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra..I remember they also served donuts and coffee the next morning for a couple of bucks, but that was about 3 years ago when we were there..Leslie didn't mention anything about that when we talked

Hi Richard,

Yes, the rally at the Lake last month went well w/the happy hour and potluck with a/s members at our group site..everyone got to meet and chat..we were able to pool together picnic tables for members to sit..also members brought their own little tables which all the food and drink were set upon..there were 30 rigs w/about 60 members and guests at the rally.. what is not available at 29 Palms is the picnic tables..which is why the option of eating at the Clubhouse..of course, it would probably be a race to get there to get tickets and seats for the dinner..

option #2!

We vote for #2 -Happy hour, tours, and a potluck together at the site! After that the hard-core partiers can head over to the club.

We have little kids, so we usually have to roll up the fake grass around 8pm and do our "partying" around the campfire while they sleep

Number 2

I voted for 2 too. If we end up doing this, maybe we can do a trailer tour with the happy hour? Option 2 would give us more time for golf and sightseeing.

Trailer Tour with the Happy Hour

The #2 option with the Potluck at the a/s group site along with The Happy Hour and a Trailer Tour is a great idea!..and, after the Potluck, if members want to mosey over to the Park's Clubhouse for some Entertainment and Dancing, that would be a nice end to the evening

I also like Slowolf's idea for option 2: Have a tour during the happy hour and partake in the Park amenities as needed...

Vera, Wine, Twister

so like, i'm green, it's not just the beer i drink. i also recycle. i vote for continious happy hour, very good but limited food (eat less, drink more), and ah... more wine (it's good for your blood). trailer tours at will (knock first) never know when you'll have a cake in the oven, and a pet show and tell. business meeting has a time limit of 90 seconds or less.

no picnic tables. so my fellow bauxites, please pack your teak table and chairs, as if boondocking.

oh my... what have i missed?

i've hooked up some really nice Vera mid century textiles... perhaps a themed cocktail party sunday evening ? as in dress up?

in regards to ta-kill-ya... the safe natural way to feel better and more confident about yourself... live the life you want to lead... tequila... i'll bring extra.

it was brought to my attention that perhaps we should reschedule nekid twister for later in the evening... see above.
