I'll always remember the gentleman that Scott was. We send warm thoughts to Becky.
Also, John and I have cancelled our spot at Casini Ranch. Site#124 is open.
We won't be able to make it after all this year.
We'll miss seeing everyone!

Ted & Marion were looking for a site, hopefully they are or someone else is viewing this thread taking an opportunity to fill your site!
Otherwise we could be looking at potential drive in theater screen in site #124

Thanks Franco for letting us in on your site location
Someone has filled site #124.
Casini contacted an individual that requested to be notified when there was a full hookup site opening.
Should make for a surprise for us or them! I'm in site #125

Yes, Ted and Marion were looking for a spot, but I'm not connected with them on the forum. maybe someone could pass the word along. He's got to get his chairs back from Rick!

Hey Steve, welcome to Casini and Airforums! Casini was our first rally too, about 3 years ago, and we've been coming ever since.
I don't think it was snark you heard - we rib each other, but usually after we've met. More often we wonder what it would be like for some non-Airstreamer to find themselves in the middle of a jovial group of silver. The potluck tables stretch about a third of the length of the center road on Saturday night and will be very near your spot. It's a great location if you want to be among Airstreams. If you came for a quiet weekend of fishing, maybe not so much.
I'm looking forward to meeting you and your Sport.

Steve, WELCOME! Thank you for chiming in. We didn't have you located
The reason for the word "surprise" is there have been those that become very surprised if they land themselves in the middle of an Airstream rally and are in no way affiliated with it.
Casini is first come first serve as we all make our own reservation.
With Casini's online reservation system in place, you get the idea that one can reserve a site and perhaps land them in the middle of a group and not know it. It has been a few years back that a couple had this happen to them. They told me they felt a bit awkward.
You can see our site map, there are other unknowns in the full hookup sites as we know they are booked but by who?
So thanks for your post
I'm confident your first rally with forums members will be a very pleasant surprise for you.
See you next month,
Jeff

I have an idea for a craft project for Saturday, and it doesn't involve yarn. Since it's an egg-related weekend, here's an egg project.
If anyone is interested, I could bring my Ukrainian egg decorating supplies. Pysanky is the art of drawing lines on eggs with melted beexwax using a tiny funnel with a handle. Taking turns between lines of wax and increasingly dark dyes yields a multicolor egg.
Kids under the age of 10 would need to work directly with a parent since it involves hot wax and an open candle flame.
I'll bring the funnels, wax, dyes, hanging ribbons and enough blown eggshells for those who indicate interest ahead of time. If you want to do more than one or if you didn't give me a holler up front, bring your own blown egg(s) and join us anyway.
