Julie and I had a great time. The weather was fabulous as well as the company. I don't think we will be able to make Pismo or Lassen this year, but we're going to Jackson. Have a great summer and Go Giants!

Hi everyone,
Thank you everyone for another great rally! Especially Jeff-for all of your hard work wagon master!! You did a great job as always! It was great seeing everyone and meeting so many new people! And of course it is always so much fun to see everyone's Streamer.

Thank you so much Barbie for the Pysanky lessons. I just loved it!

We kind of left in a hurry because the "Honey Wagon" came by and asked us to move our Airstream so he could get to our neighbors trailer. But, he emptied our tank as well so it all worked out. Since, we had to move anyway we ended up just heading out. Unfortunately we didn't get to say good bye to everyone though. So, here is our good-bye!! lots of hugs-see you all soon!!

Denise, Mark, Bean, Marley, Lucy and little Fergie.

We had a great time!!! It is always sad to see everyone leaving on Sunday, but there were a number of Airstreams still left after the main group departed. We left this morning about an hour after Neil and Lynn, and Sunshine/Jim and Maria were the only ones left. Our Airstream is unloaded and backed into its spot next to our house, waiting for the next adventure! We were surprised to find it colder here in Roseville than it was at Casini Ranch Campground this morning...

It was good to see old friends and meet new ones, as well! I am sure I missed a few newbies, so I hope you plan to join us for another rally in the near future!!!

We had an uneventful journey home. I decided to avoid any problems that were/are predicted with the construction of the Highway 50 fix in Sacramento and traveled 80 to Douglas to Auburn-Folsom Road to 50. Since we visit Kaiser Roseville frequently each of our cars knows the route....piece of cake. Great to see old friends and meet new ones. Sad to have missed some too.

We had a great time too. Thanks Jeff for organizing it. Thanks to everyone who was on theVAP with me. Should we do it again in Jackson?

Any word on the newspaper article from the reporter/photographer that was there?

Sure, Tim, it was fun and others may like to be 'guests'. May I suggest name tags ? (Supposed to be a smiley laugh face here...but ain't working for me).

The reporter that was there was from The Oakland Tribune - she said the story is being expanded into a larger story and will appear in May. I'll post more info when I get it and if anyone needs her contact info, PM me

Casini was great!

Thanks to all for wonderful first time experience. Kyle and I (and Penny and Elvis) had a relaxing time. We were impressed by the food at the two events, and look forward to seeing new friends next year.

We have already reserved #98 again for next year. And, our dogs are already gearing up for another gopher attack!

My suggestion for name tags was in response to Safari Tim and Colin Hyde calling me 'Vernon' during my stint on the VAP broadcast. It wasn't embarrassing ..........to me but Tim was a little 'flustered'. It was great fun.

Gail,we will be at Manzanita campground
The central dates are July 27th-20th with a few folks coming in early and some staying after those dates.
Here a link to our location Manzanita Lake Campground - Lassen Volcanic National Park (U.S. National Park Service)
Most of us are in loop A that requires a reservation here but B & C loops are first come first served and easy to land one mid week.
Find Campsites - MANZANITA LAKE, CA - Recreation.gov

Let us know if you can make it!

Thankyou

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply. Just wanted to thank everyone at the Casini Ranch Rally. It was a wonderful experience and so great to see the possibilities for our own Airstream 'Beauty'. Thank you to everyone that let us have a nose around their Airstreams - especially the poor chap I disturbed on the toilet. So sorry!
We are now ready to get started on the full restoration of Beauty, and hopefully by Casini next year she will look very different.
It was a pleasure to meet you all and I'm sure that we will be seeking restoration advice in the coming months.
Thanks again,
Christina, Alex, Peter, Diarmuid, Cormac, Ethan and Grandad Steve.

If 'Beauty' is road worthy this fall come to Jackson. Get on the wait list.

Jeff-

Can you clarify the dates in post above? Looks like you are camping back in time, from the 27th to the 20th of July at lake Manzanita...

Gail, most of uus will be in loop A, Manzanita Lake Campground. Loop A is reserve. If you cannot find an opening in that loop several loops are 1st come it's yours. Lassen doesn't fill up like most NP.

John, we plan to arrive on the 24th and leave the 16th. But we may bump our dates up as we will arrive on the 15th for Washington DC. We will depart on 6/26.
