Good choice, Neil! We have smoke wafting in and out here in Roseville today. Thankfully, we have had clean air at night. Make sure you take your camera when you head out to Point Reyes!!!! Hopefully, the fire will be out and the smoke gone when you return.
See you at Jackson!

2 weeks yesterday...
Just 2 weeks from yesterday Lynn and I will be set'n up 'camp' at JRRV. We love being the first at these rallies. There is a certain joy watching sob's pull out to open up spaces for each of you arrive into. I guess it's like pulling weeds.... then watching your garden grow.
We are packed! We have been packed for 2 weeks. We were to be camping up at Wright's Lake with kids and grandkids last week and this. The King Fire closed HWY50 and all of our campground choices in The El Dorado Forest. All were closed. Smoke and road access for fire crews was the reason. Last Friday the winds changed creating a very choking environment at our home. We escaped, sans trailer, to spend a few days at our daughter and family's home in San Rafael. We enjoyed that cool marine air....no fog.
We are back home and a happy to see that the brave firefighters are getting control of that fire. Still some smoke but manageable. No fears about the propane fire pits that will be throughout JRRV in a couple of weeks.
Looking forward.....
Neil and Lynn.......and Lizzy.

We are looking forward to joining you and others coming in two weeks from today! We haven't even started thinking about packing, but it doesn't take us long.
So glad to hear you and Lynn are back at home, and I hope the air clears very soon. Supposedly, this storm that is blowing in will be dropping some rain up in your area....that may help.
The propane fire pits are safe, Neil....no sparks! If MOWATR (Ric) uses one, you know it's gotta be safe.

Jackson
I don't mean to be a snob-but-having said that-the Jackson Rancheria sure looks a lot better when there are lots of Airstreams (silver) parked there as opposed to all those white boxes!! Okay, I admit it, I'm an Airstream snob!!!

Finally, we are on the road toward Jackson! Well we are taking the long way - currently in Las Vegas, then via Grand Canyon, ABQ Balloon Fiesta, Sedona, and Bishop - but we are looking forward to being there !
