Were getting ours ready for our Southern History tour ending at the rally! We leave this Thursday after work and will be in Nashville, Memphis, Little Rock and Grove! We can't wait to see everyone.

 BLMITCH--- we just got done--- stayed at Mississippi River State Park in Marianna Arkansas, spot 13, beautiful except for the mosquitoes. Then we went to the old KOA park in Morillton, took blue highways from Marianna to Conway then I-40 into Morrillton.
The state park was $24 a night with full hookups and 25% out of state senior discount-- no wi-fi but no noises except the buzzing of bugs and cicadas.
The Old KOA park in Morrilton was $24 a night with good sam and GOOD strong wi-fi. We parked on the back row between two trees, wonderful but the sewer was a little slow when dumping the holding tank. No bugs but traffic noise which wasn't too bad after we got used to it. Good joint to eat is Yesterday's just across the interstate from the park.
We don't like traveling on interstates unless we have to.
Looking forward to Grove!
There was a nice 73 Argosy in the park. Only saw three moving AS on the trip. Saw several sitting in yards surrounded by weeds.

We're excited to get out of town for a while and we haven't spent much time down south so it will be fun and new. We're also very ready for the rally and have the watch and other rally gifts packed and ready to go! See y'all soon.

Sounds like a good time Brad and Zel...anxious to hear about it!
We are ready for this rally!... then run up to the White River for a few days after. We got 2 fishing kayaks but will probably not be bringing them because we have to get a rack to fit the truck first and won't be able to get it all done before then and we don't want to bring 2 vehicles!  We just got back from several days at Lake Eufala to try them out...great fun! Looking forward to seeing you all!

With regrets I must cancel my attendance at this rally due to health reasons. I will call and cancel with Cedar Oaks. I have damaged my Achilles tendon and am having to wear a huge black ankle boot which restricts all of my driving. Thanks and have fun!

FYI--We live near Grove and thought we would let you know that on Saturday, October 12, they are having the Grand Lake Fall Festival and Food Truck Rally in downtown Grove. There will be lots of arts and crafts and 6-8 different food trucks. Just thought we'd let you know in case you're looking for things to do. I think the festival runs from 9:00 to 4:00. There's also a great museum called Har-ber Village which is right on the lake. It's sort of an outdoor museum where you walk to different little houses with different vintage items...toys, dolls, clothing, farm equipment, etc. I'm sure the Park hosts can give you directions to both of these activities.

Let's talk food for the rally! What are you planning to bring to the meet and greet and to the pot luck?
I haven't decided on an appetizer for the meet and greet yet, but I want to try a Dutch oven Mac and Cheese recipe for the pot luck. Might also bring the crock pot and make a pot roast.
That fall festival sounds like my kind of fun!
