Guess it's kind of odd, but just about when the fall colors are at their zenith in this valley, we start looking seriously to make tracks out of here. (That's the beginning of low season in the business cycle, so time to skeedaddle.)

how does this work?

My wife and I will be there and this will be our first rally. Should I make a reservation with the campground?

Is that an Argosy moho in your avatar? Hmmm...I guess we're going to have to make sure to bring ours, 100% or not.

It is a 91 Airstream 350 that is not 100%. I hope you bring your Argosy I would love to see it.

Yeah, it's better when I read the forums on the computer instead of the phone. I see now that it's an Airstream, not an Argosy. We have been hoping to bring the Argosy moho to this rally, but I have unfortunately been saddled with a lot of work travel between now and the rally. I am not sure if I can get everything up to par for the trip, but I will try my darned-est. The Airstream trailer might have to make the trip for the third year in a row.

I promise, Carl, I won't demand the playground-view spot this year.

Just Sign Up On The Rally Calendar For Now

T739SG,
I see you signed up on the rally calendar which is all you have to do for now. We are still trying to finalize all the particulars and I will post a link to a PDF form that you can fill out and mail in with your rally fee. We're trying to keep the costs down to $15.00 - $20.00 / person with children 12 & under free.

We have a large BBQ pit next to the pavillion and we're thinking of firing up that beast for a Saturday evening BBQ & pot luck. So if there are any "Pit Bosses" out there I am sure we'll be able to put you all to work. Last year we had what we believe to be the mother of all pot luck dinners and we hope to repeat that this year.

Everybody will have full hookups (water, 30 amp electric, sewer, digital cable, and WiFi). That is unless you really want to boondock, which is OK too.

We were just up at the park this last weekend and I was strolling around the rally field that we have and have and never really utilize. It's pretty huge and I am sure we could get at least a double wagon wheel formation in the field. So someday I hope to put together a boon docking rally and finally get some use out of the rally field. There's even a creek you could ford to get to the field if you really wanted to .

Jason,
You never "demanded" a playground-view spot. You requested it and we were glad to oblige. All the park residnts love it when the youngsters are there. It's nice to see them running around, laughing, and enjoying themselves. I know it's nice for the parent too, because they can pretty much turn the children loose in the park and everybody will keep and eye on them.

From having attended this the past 2 years, the process is simple: RSVP at the calendar, mark the dates on you own calendar. Carl will send information when it's ready, but it's administrative. Your spot is reserved with the RSVP. I think maybe there was a small deposit requested in the past with the reg. form, but the balance is paid on-site when you're setup.

Thumbs up Rally Form

For all you folks who have been chomping at the bit, I have finally gotten off my duff and created the rally sign up form. We are going to do things a little different this year. We are asking for you to pay the $20.00 / person (over 12 years old) rally fee up front payable to Carl Deitrich (me) and the $20.00 / night parking fee can be paid when you roll into Penn Wood.

Now all I have to do is fancy up and post the loose schedule.

Hi Carl,
I've printed out the form and filled it in. Do you want a cheque from me in Canadian funds or would you rather wait till I arrive and get good old Yankee greenbacks?
