OK folks, time has come for registration! I passed out flyers this past weekend and am doing it again this weekend!

Dan - for those without grey tanks - do you recall anywhere within The Wilds to dump grey water. The issue didn't come up last time we were there but with 5 days it will, I'm sure, this time around.

Can't believe this event will be upon us in 60 days or so.....

I got an email offer from a local TV station that's selling Open Air Safari tickets at The Wilds for half price. They're normally $30 per ticket and they're offering them for $15. It's only for the daytime safari and the tickets will expire on 9/5/2011.

It is with dismay that I type this post. At this point, participation in this rally is below the point of feasibility.

I'm going to decide next Monday on pulling the plug. If you want to come, let me know now.

We (andrea, the kids, and I) are planning to be there. obviously, from the post above (by gardenstream...aka andrea) we have already bought safari tickets.

If the"plug" is pulled as the airforums national rally, could we still do it but on a much smaller scale like the original 2 years ago? Or will it be a complete plug pulling?

I was just chatting with andrea (i'm traveling right now). It seems there was some confusion on the correct way to officially say "yes, we're coming"

it was our understanding that there would be plenty of room and we could basically just show up. I take it this is not the case? Maybe you could tell all of us how exactly you need an official answer...i.e RSVP to the calendar, apparently threw was something on the brochure that might need top be sent in?

Dan, I called the wilds on Friday and the person that does the reservations was gone for the day. I will have to call back tomorrow. And of course the check to you is "in the mail". Well, I thought Erin mailed it Friday but I just talked to her and she thought I did. So it will go out tomorrow. I have gotten the Friday before off so we will roll in on Thursday night and stay till Monday. We are fine if things end up smaller. Keep us in the loop as to what goes on. If there is anything we can do to help let us know.

There is a daily "parking" fee to the wilds? Not that it's too much money, but seems weird considering we're out in the woods somewhere.

Now now. Positive posts here. The daily parking fee is only 15 a night. They will probably spend more than that mowing the area we will have.

Just seems weird... In 2009 we camped at the same plot of land (if I understand correctly, which might not be the case) and it was at no cost (again...my memory). The only cost of the rally was admission to the wilds itself.

Now, there's a rally fee, a parking fee, and I have to notify and pay 2 people.

Not trying to make a negative post; just calling it like it is. We're still planning on coming...and paying. if it lives up to half of the 2009 experience then it's worth every cent.

These are the exact fees you and Andrea paid in 2009:

Weekend Trailer Parking Fee

X $15

Rally Fee

(per Adult, Mandatory) X $10

Service Project

(optional, perperson)X $5

Sunset Safari and Dinner Buffet

(Sat., Optional)

Note: Other tours
do not require reservations.

X $65

The biggest change is in the parking fee which is not set by me. The increase in rally fee is so I don't lose as much money this year!

I think you're wrong.

I think I remember writing a check to Dan for the first rally at the Wilds.

Dan - Either way, we plan on being there this year. Do you want me to fill out the form and mail it to you or should I just give it to you when I see you this weekend?
