We are mailing our $20.00 deposit today and look forward to attending this fine Rally at Penn Wood (one of our Favorite spots). As always you guys put together a great Rally and after the Alumapolloza Rally and BB Rally this will make our season one of the best ever.
I'll have Reggae cd's for those who would like to get them.

Fall Is Getting Closer

It's great to see so much interest in our rally. We are hoping the park sells out and we are well on our way!

Now that Frank has officially sent in his deposit we can announce that he will be doing breakfast for everybody! So if you're interested just make a donation to the kitty and Frank will do the rest. If you have ever attended a rally where Frank "does" breakfast you will know that it is a hearty breakfast that will keep you going throughout the day.

We have been busy planning activity opportunities to keep rally goers as busy or relaxed as they wish. For the kids we are working on activates like a treasure hunt, fishing rodeo, and face painting. We've even gotten prizes for the young ones and Airstream / RV themed door prizes for the adults.

So if you are interested please sign up soon and get your deposit in as sites are going fast.

We're looking forward to seeing everybody at Penn Wood in the fall.

It definetly sounds like a good rally. We were looking at the festival website, is it very hard to get around town to see the parade? Saw the mention of shuttle buses and were wondering...

Thumbs up

Jabba,
I think you will find it easy to attend the festivities in Clarion on any day. The shuttle service on parade day does make parking easier and they usually run from a convenient location that is easy to reach from Penn Wood.

Looking forward to meeting you. This is the second Fall Colors Rally and we hope we have made it even better!

We winged it last year (no real plans in town) and found a church on the far side of town that was getting $5 to park, but was very unoccupied at the time and therefore the Excursion fit well. We were about 2 blocks away from the parade route, but we are walking-type people. We also went to town in advance of the parade in order to eat, take in the town, etc. There were a bunch of food vendors on the square and some kiddy rides. Many of the stores are open. Many people were claiming their parade-watching space early. The parade literally goes on for hours. I think every organization in the western half of the state of PA has a truck or a float or is marching in the parade. We ended up leaving before the parade was even done because the kids had a ton of candy and the whole family was ready for nap time!

Exclamation Sign Ups Closed

As of today (08/24/2010) Penn Wood is SOLD OUT for the 2010 Fall Colors Forum Rally.

We have reached our maximum capacity to offer everybody full hookup sites and will not be taking anymore reservations / deposits. As sites become available due to cancellations, I will make them available here.

All people who have already sent in their deposits will be guaranteed a full hookup site. Anybody wishing to attend after today’s date cannot be guaranteed a full hookup site.

We’re excited to have sold out the full hookup sites more than a month before the rally and look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

Wings and things

Couple quick questions. We are trying to figure out a wing recipe and ratios, what amount of wings will we be given to cook with?

Second, we are trying to determine what we would like to see in the area and how much the time allowances are. Any idea of what time the open house, cook off, etc. will be happening?

Excited to get out of state and have some fun!

Jason,
You will be given as many or as few wings as you wish. The wings that are not taken will be cooked by our professional in-house chefs. As it stands today there are around 120 people signed up with a paid deposit. There are 35 trailers / motor homes, plus all the lease holders that will be participating as well.

The schedule will be very loose and you can come and go as you please. There are many things to do and see in the area, especially with the Clarion County Autumn Leaf Festival going on at the same time. Or one can kick back and just relax. I hope to have the loose schedule fleshed out and posted by early next week.

The plan is to combine open house and happy hour on Saturday. A roaming open house and happy hour worked pretty well last year so we decided to do it again this year. We will have the wing dinner / pot luck afterwards.

There is no need to worry about inclement weather as we have a large enclosed pavilion with a fireplace. So, if we get rain, we can move all the festivities inside.

We're working hard to plan a successful rally. The organizers will be at Penn Wood the entire week leading up to the rally, putting the finishing touches on the rally, working to get the park ready for everybody, and of course having some fun while doing it. If anybody has the vacation and means to come early, please do, we would love to have you. We promise not to put you to work.
