We didn't get on the road today. More self-inflicted mechanical issues.

Perhaps we'll be there tomorrow night. It just depends on if I can get the carb to stop leaking fuel (AGAIN)... and if that new radiator being built is ready to install tomorrow morning.

It's the little things.

They are still working on that so they still do not have WIFI available in the park.Funding for this feature is a tough one for those guys.

Come on Tim, you better pull through. Chief was counting on you to be the sole participant in the Polar Bear Swim on Saturday. We all wanted to see that.

Fixed the problem with the carb this afternoon. On the fuel transfer tube the o-ring was pinched, which kept about 1/8th of the ring from seating. Once I put some light on the carb, it was very noticeable. Frustrating that I didn't catch it when I assembled it.

Course, I can't test the carb today. I'm relying on faith and dumb luck that there are no other issues.

Now just waiting on the radiator shop to call. Then install it. Then flush it. Then fill it. Then locate and fix the next mechanical problem. Then go hook up and head out.

Going have to cancel, the wife just does not like that much cold weather. She wanted to spend most of the time outdoors. We did install a Suburan NT30SP furnace last year-works great, but still a no go. We really enjoyed the 2008 Can Opener...maybe next year. Site 139 will now be open.

If Devoman(Steve) or Artstream(Michael) could PM me with an amount for the tee shirts-including shipping-and an address to send the check, I would appreciate it.

Greg N Cindy, I'm looking forward to meeting you in the near future. I really wanted to see that new 27' CCD.

Hope ya'll have a great time!

Just finished loading extra firewood and LP tank. I see the weather forecast has changed tomorrow night from a chance of snow to rain and sleet. This is our first Can Opener and from every thing that we have heard, it will be worth the trip eventhough it will be a little cool. MsRivet said I couldn't participate in the swim on Saturday so I didn't pack the speedo. She said she couldn't take the whinning afterward. See everyone tomorrow afternoon.

We are packed and "Maude" is in the driveway ready to go. We'll pull out around 9:00 in the morning.
I'm leaving my speedo home also.
Sleet sounds really cool. How does that sound on an airstream?

We'll be leaving at about 10am tomorrow for our long drive of about 55 minutes. This is our third CanOpener and it's a really good rally.

Sleet? Oh sheet. I won't be discreet: that's one thing I'd like to delete.

See the rest of the brave ones out there ;-)

Sorry folks, we're just not going to be able to pull it off.

I'm afraid the chilly weather is just a bit too much for us, as much as we'd like the break and the opportunity to see the ocean.

With #9 due in July, it is unlikely we'll get another chance till next year (but that's always a possibility).

Hope you guys have a great time, we'll miss being there!
