Sugarfoot,
Sorry to hear that you will not be able to attend. We enjoyed meeting you at The Wilds.
I took advantage of your loss, and called Topsail to change my site from 129 to 138. Thanks for offering up this nice site to the group.

Oh Dacia! I needed your helpful lantern to back into my site. This is the first time we've not had a pull-through site.

Well, I guess we'll just have to muddle through until the Springstream Rally. See you then.

Yes, we will miss your bread pudding. And your mom. And the snakes. And Miss Lulu Sugarfoot. Hmm, am I forgetting someone.... nope, that's all we'll miss.

I will be happy to deliver the bread pudding to the Can Opener on your behalf. You should make additional batches in case some selfish, ungrateful person consumes the first batch enroute.

Maps

Lets try this....
I saw where Bob Thompson did a .kmz for sites in Texas so I though we needed one for the Can Opener. You need to have Google Earth installed, then click on the attached file. It SHOULD show were everyone is parked and by clicking on the balloon you can see where they are from and what type of camper they have.

I couldn't find some info -
Tom & Pru in site 151 - where ya from and what ya' haulin?

Clancy Boy, Transplant, Cottonball and MooseTags, What site?

Any others?

Someone PLEASE hold the lantern for Minnie's Mate! I let him down at the Springstream and really needed to make it up to him. Next time Tom, I promise. If only I could send Mom on with the rig, but I don't think she could see over the steering wheel of that big hunky Titan no matter how many Metro Chattanooga phone books I put under her, much less reach the pedals.

Grand Master Mike, I'm glad you and Mary grabbed the site. You're going to so enjoy this rally! I'll have to catch up with y'all at another rally sometime.

Ike T, you are incorrigible. I wouldn't trust you with that bread pudding if it were in a cast iron strong box.

Hey HiHo, that's an awesome map. Maybe since I've cancelled Clancy Boy will come out of the woodwork and tell us what site he has.

Oh Clancy Boy???? Where are you?

So does this mean we're in the running for some bread pudding at SpringStream then?

so in 10 days THIS thread will finally be about the RALLY?

historically THIS rally thread is about the silliness that happens at topsail...

the food (also a good thing) and helping folks find the park and avoid the snakes and gators...

and maybe a few jokes or insults tossed around by folks who know each other,

or are looking forward to putting face2avatar

all good things.
___________

THIS YEAR it seems to be more about a T SHIRT and RAFFLE, with the rally as a side dish...

not a good trend for rally threads.

people, food and gatherings first...

trinkets matter little.

cheers
2air'

updated

Ok, here's the updated map, I think all of the tweeks are there for the info I have BUT as 2Air points out...

I can add icon's for...
Fridays Happy hour site(s)...
The portable spa/speedo contest (who is bringing the spa THIS year?)
The pit area for the electric scooter race...
Saturday nights marshmellow roast over the burning SOB
The limbo/grass skirt/weedeater contest

From what I remember these are the only ones that will continue from last year, the other events were too over the top...

We are very excited and have just extended our stay for 5 days. We arrive Jan 6th and are staying until the 18th. We will have to seitch sites but I think it will be more than worth it. We want to order t-shirts-not sure how to do that. Jim and Regina, I will be bringing bskets and we would love to have dinner with you one night.

We will be arriving Friday night late, but I have a LCD projector but no screen if someone would like to show photos of this year's travels during the potluck dinner or would want to watch a movie after at on the side of our Airstream (they say they make good screens). I have "The Long, Long Trailer" and "RV" among others. If it is James Bond, Star Wars, Star Trek, or Disney, we got you covered, just put in a request and if I have it I'll bring it.
