Thanks to Jack and all for putting together a great rally. We sure had a good time ... and were grateful that this trip was trouble free. I have posted a bunch of pictures in a google album. I think this link will get you there: Picasa Web Albums - Sara - Morraine View...# but I'm not sure.

Well, year 7 is in the books and again we get through dinner, campfire, movies, as well as the entire weekend without rain. Thanks to all for their attendance and contributions towards another successful year. Laird and Nancy, thanks for the neat name tags this year, Pete and Sarah, thanks for the after dinner music! Eric, thanks for the projector and screen. Movie night wouldn't be here without your contribution of the hardware. Everyone else, thanks for the food, your fellowship and your presence. This rally wouldn't happen without you!!

I really missed some fantastic activities while doing my unintentional best to imitate "Rip VanWinkle". Murphy's Law just doesn't seem to want me to be involved in the Moraine View Rally -- last year it was failed alternator in the '75 Cadillac just 60 miles from the Rally site (spent the weekend at the Arcola Camper Stop with only one other coach in the entire campground). I can't explain it, but I went inside with every intention of starting my contribution for the potluck dinner -- then that Overlander side bunk called and I made the mistake of lying down (3:15 p.m.) -- the next thing that I knew, it was 8:45 p.m. -- stumbled out to the Suburban to close the windows then returned to the trailer and fell asleep not to awaken again until after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday! I really did catch up on my sleep -- but missed out on all of the Rally fun! Hopefully, I will be able to convince my old friend Murphy to stay home next year.
