I can't believe it's only one week, we'll be reunited and I can't wait to meet all the new sistas!!

Janet: You did it last year, and I am sure you can do it again, no problem! Enjoy your journey with your daughter.

Kristiana: don't we all love all things shinny??? Don't forget to bring a few of your wedding photos! Congrat again!

Michelle: Best of luck. It will be so wonderful to have you out here in CA.

Well, I am counting down and crossing my fingers....
A few days after we got back from our last trip to the NRRR at San Clemente, the water pump mysteriously blew and a water pipe behind the frig leaks....to make the story short the bedroom carpet and floor are soaked. Took John and I a few day to try to soak up the water, and clean out the bedroom. The dwelling has been at C&G for repair and hopefully the Airstream will replace the soaked carpet, instead of just drying it out...it's been there over 2 weeks, and John is now there to find out how much damage and work had been done. C&G were told that we need the trailer back no later than next Thursday, so please send all your positive energy here...I can't come to a rally again without my trailer...though I know Michelle has a really comfy couch...thanks again Michelle.

So I will keep you gals updated.

Cheers,
Cat =^^= aka Thelma of the Pacific coast

Oh no Thelma. Leaks!

So sorry to hear that but hopefully you will be well taken care of and dry and comfy soon.

The dealer actually fixed two separate leaks for me since the last rally...
one in the corner of the shower and the big one that was pouring water in through the refrig vents. They said they installed a "flange" to funnel out the water. I took off the exterior vent covers and nothing looked any different but...woo AND hoo...no leaks after the last big rain storm. I hope yours works out as well.

You must come! I need my partner in crime (well one of them anyway ).
Good luck and keep us posted...

L.

The sink faucet in our bathroom started leaking while we were at San Clemente and the overflow pressure valve was dripping too. Someone else at SC was also having leaking/pressure problems. I think the water pressure there may have been much stronger that anyone would have anticipated. Since the leak just drains into the shower pan, I've decided not to mess with it this week before the trip. I've got enough things to do.

Laurel,
Thank you all for you well wishes. My stop in Chico would be for a job several years down the road.

I just finished preping the trailer.

Flushing all tanks. Filling the Water tank. A good idea for stability (in my trailer) and options to park anywhere.
Check all tires for pressure and security (lug nuts). My spare was way low.
Tomorrow I clean the inside. The outside will wait until I get to Ojai.

She is ready for another voyage.

See you all there!

And parking? With Michelle there it will be a piece of cake.
I will make sure I am taking a nap when you arrive or fixing my hair or something.

Michelle,
The sound of crunching aluminum will not only ruin your nap, but the sight will make your hair curl!

5 days and counting....

Boy, I go away for a couple of days and you girls have a little Forums party without me!

We just returned from a few days in Yosemite. We had to sqeak in our annual snow fix for the kids. My husband and I are severely snow-impaired since we grew up here in Santa Barbara - total snow dorks, have no clue what we are doing, completely out of our comfort zone. But the lure to colder temps is so strong each year, especially for our kids - they have so much fun. They could care less if their fingers are turning blue or their pants are soaked through to their nickers - just as long as they have a pile of the white stuff to jump in and hill or two to slide down. Kudos to all you silver sisters living in white winter wonderlands out there!

I'm glad to hear that the gals and their trusty side-kicks (you know who you are) are repairing their leaks, packing their polish, and prepping for the journey from their homelands. I am really nervous about towing too. But I am determined. Last year, Jack followed me and helped me back in, but this year I think (I reserve the right to chicken out) I'll do it all by myself .

By the way, I have my deliciously tacky camp vamp attire all picked out, complete with a nod to Rosie - red toenail polish with white polkadots!

Attaching a picture of Drew (8) and Taylor (6) from yesterday's snow fun.

we'll have a lot to talk about!

Oh, Virginia, those are stunning photos! I can tell you and I will have a lot to talk about! We love Yosemite and go at lease a couple times a year. My sister got me hooked when she worked for the park - her little cabin near the base of Yosemite Falls was our very special little home away from home. Pretty amazing place. Let's compare notes next weekend!

Great Yosemite photos.

And how nice that you got married there Meredith.

I also go several times a year and love it there
though I haven't gone in a little while now.
(Too busy with forum rallies )

I love the off season in spring and fall and do love the snow.
We are so lucky to be able to go play in the snow and then leave it behind
and go home.

Hmmm...a possible future rally spot???
