Which reminds me....I just bought two brand new 1.5 million candle power lights that I will tape up to my bumper and turn on when I back in to my spot.
After the weather this afternoon, I have a good case of Spring Fever. We were in the low 70s. My reservation request went in the mail as I was heading home from work -- parent-teacher conferences today so our day ended at Noon. I did get a few strange looks as I drove home -- decided that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to put the top down on my New Beetle Convertible.

According to the map the only bath house is in the C-section. Does anyone know any different than this? Did someone also say there are no water hookups at any of the sites? If so what is a good way to clean my fresh water tank as I don't know when it's ever been done. We've only had the trailor a few months and had water hook ups the three times we've used it. Thanks for any info..

Yes, there is only the one bath house in the section where the Rally is held.

There aren't any sites with water, but there are several hydrants spaced about the campground as well as a fill point at the entrance to the campground.

The generally accepted method is to sanitize with a 10% +/- bleach solution. The thread below discusses the sanitation method:
If you haven't used the onboard fresh water tank before, you will want to have someone observe the tank from inside the coach as you fill it to be sure that there aren't any leaks -- while it isn't common, the fill port, hose, and the tank as well can slplit/crack and be subject to leaking. Also, don't panic if the fresh water pump doesn't work immediately -- if it is the original PAR (Peters and Russell), it can be rebuilt.

Not to mention the rusty iron filled water that comes out of the ground at Morrain View State Park.
Since our trailer is much heavier than last year, we will travel dry and fill when we get there.

I typically bring a metal and sediment filter. They cost about $30, but it takes one for the team.
On a side note, I have been known to buy 5 or 6 2.5 gallon fresh water from the grocery store. Costs about $20, but when in the heavy iron areas up in the UP of MI, it keeps my tank from being stained. One additional thing that I do is bring one of those coleman 5 gallon jugs. Fill that with local water, use it for hand washing, etc, saving my Lake Michigan hauled water for other things.

I usually bring up three empty plastic water containers that hold 7 gallons each. If I run short I'll fill those and then dump them into the fresh water tank. I also bring a filter to hook to the water outlet when I fill the containers.
I'll will fill my fresh water tank with STL water before I leave. It carries a weight penalty but Illinois is flat. I encounter most of the grades in the first 30 miles of travel from my home.
This is probably the only time I use the fresh water tank the entire year so I always sanitize prior to doing that final fill.
