da Bigfoot has appeared

Roger did bring his Bigfoot trailer. It's supposed to handle his height but I'm not sure. Now I know why he's been keeping this a secret.

He's thinking he needs a Hensley even! What do Forum members have to say to his ever-so-wise question?

Zamboni didn't sign up this year.

An SOB moho pulled into Kevin's site in the last 20 minutes. Car trouble? He must have called the campground hosts and given up the campsite. We'll miss you Kevin - hope you didn't have to get towed.

Home Safe - had a wonderful time

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for making us feel welcome.
We were a little nervous being the newbie's.
We all had a great time..

The food was great at Pot Luck. Look forward to seeing you all again.

We are worried about Kevin. Did anyone ever hear from him? Did he make it?

Stuck in the "Afterglow"...

Hello all,

Just unhitched our trailer in its resting place at the house, and I can't stop thinking about what a great time we had this weekend. Thank you to everyone for a weekend my family or I will not soon forget. We are already talking about "Next Year".

Gosh, that was fun! You are a good group to converse with over the internet, and a GREAT buch of people to spend a weekend with. Thanks for taking my family in and making us feel right at home.

I have one complaint, you people broke our dog! (Ha-Ha!!!) She slept the entire trip back home which is not like her at all, so even she must have had a great weekend!!!

Here's to hoping everyone else makes their journey home a safe one!

Warmest Regards,

Home Safe and Sound

We got back a couple hours ago, in time to get the instruments unloaded before a very windy thunderstorm. No problems getting back -- all four tires are still functional!!!

Such a wonderful weekend ... thanks to all who helped us with our tire trouble. Last year was great, but this year was fantastic! We had such a good time ... getting to know people better.

The food was great ... the movies were hilarious ... the dogs were everywhere.

Echoing Pete & Sara, we made it home safe & sound around 5. There's a little debris in the low corner of our yard, but otherwise everything stayed dry. Sadly this cannot be said for many of our neighbors from our northwest through to our southwest.

Thanks to everyone who was there. Mrs R. and I had a really good time and had to peel ourselves away.

It was a genuine pleasure.

Oh, and till, we saw a piece of artillery with a gloss greenish box (I know, I know, it has a real name) heading west on I-74 near Danville. Didn't get a pic.

I got back about 5 pm. Got everything unpacked. No rain on the way home although it was threatening in STL. I'll recap after I get back home from pizza out tonight.

With rain chances at 100% for Friday. We only got a couple of drips. So from Thursday through departure today we were free of rain! Grounds were good for us. Never, never count out this rally with the fear of weather. We've gotten through six years now without a major interruption. This second weekend in June seems to have a charmed weather life at Moraine View. I think this year the dog count clearly out numbered the kids.

Thank you all for your attendance. 32 sites taken, a great turn out for the pot luck, Friday night hot dog feast, and the Saturday night movies!

Jack

We caravanned back with Scott S. and his family. We stopped in Morton about 2:30 PM for a severe thunderstorm with 70mph winds, driving rain and hail. No damage to the rigs though. It was a wise decision to stop. Otherwise we had an uneventful trip home.

Sorry we didn't get around to meet quite everyone, but we sure enjoyed seeing everyone that we did!

Chris, it was great giving you a hard time again this year. You're a great sport.

Sara, we didn't get a chance to express our thanks in person, but the harp music was fabulous. We really enjoyed it, so... thanks so much!

To everyone who appreciated the trikes, we had a great time. For those of you who thought we were nuts, thanks for your indulgence! They really are a LOT of fun, and the dogs really do enjoy the Burley trailer. I hope to see more of you with them next year!

Jack and Patty, thanks so much for hosting this again this year. We had a ball.
