Don't they charge you for 2 RVs? I thought they had some rules about dual RVs on the same spot Rog. I could be wrong....just seem to recall something that came up once at another Illinois State Park.
We'll see... as far as I'm concerned, we have a van and a trailer. There's lots of folks who pull trailers with B-vans.
Jack, Laurie tells me we're bringing a fresh tossed salad.

TerryK checking in: When I talked to Mary at MV she said to put P44 down on the registration form when I sent it in. We'll be in around noon on Friday, so that's when we'll know for sure.
For the potluck, Wanita says Posole and an apple salad for us.
Kewl set up. We are just about set to pullout this afternoon. I wanted to get down there early to give the kids a chance to blow off some steam before the fun starts. This will be my first "family" vacation in 4 years.....

You know you can just tell the campground host that you have a "Articulated Motor home"
As seems to be tradition, one of the kids is going to the doctors office today. So we will see what comes of it......
See y'all there!!!

I'm thinking about making two things-- a heart healthy veggie dish for the potluck followed by Bebopareebop Rhubarb Pie.
Don't forget the Powdermilk Bisquits.
Just gave the GT a good washing. If the weather and my stamina holds out she might even get a coat of wax.
Looks like everything's working and we should be all loaded, hooked up and ready to roll Thursday morning.
Hopefully the rain will be minimal and the mud has dried up. Last time we were in A-05 it was a bit soggy.
SeeYa,
Tom.

This morning, I was beginning to think that Murphy's Law was going give me fits. The first assault was a dead battery in my Cadillac tow car -- not a great surprise as the battery was entering its fifth summer. Jump starting didn't work -- checked and found plenty of fuel in the tank and strong spark at the spark plugs. Fuel flow was less than I would expect. Called a local towing company and had the car towed to my regular mechanic -- three hours later the verdict was -- bad fuel lines -- the fuel lines were filled with tiny pinholes and the fuel pump was drawing more air than fuel. I guess that the silver lining is that it happened where my regular mechanic could diagnose the problem and make the repairs -- fortunately, my mechanic is accustomed to my vehicles having strange and unusual maladies.
The repairs are going to delay my departure by a few hours tomorrow, but I should still get to Moraine View before dark tomorrow.

I'm so disapointed we are unable to make it again this year. As they (who are "they" anyway??) say, "There's always next year." We will miss meeting the newbies and our special friends from years past. Hear's wishing everyone another fun gathering, good weather, and safe travels to and from Morraine View.
A special wish for a very HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all !!!
Cheers in a plastic cup!!!

Best wishes for sunny skies and lots of fun and laughter at Moraine View '08. While we've only attended the "2nd Annual..." we remember faces and trailers/MH's, and the great food and fun shared by everyone there. We'll be thinking of you through the weekend, raising our chocolate milk in toast to you near campfire time. Hello to all we've met, and best wishes for a grand rally to this year's newbies As Sue said above, maybe next summer! ~G And Kevin, safe travels once your repairs are made.

Go, Mizzou...Tigers on the prowl!
Jack, I never did list what I was bringing for Sat. evening. I'm making the corn casserole again. Also we will have some potato salad for the hot dogs Fri.
We leave in the AM. I think we are packed and ready.
Everyone drive safe and save your gas. The speed limit in Illinois for vehicles pulling trailers is 55. The weather Saturday and Sunday will be great. Not hot not cold. Thursday will get some thunderstorms overnight and Friday is dicey. Bottom line by 10pm Friday night, the rain and cool front with be through.
If the rain is significant or if its stormy late Friday afternoon, I'll hold the hot dogs over for lunch on Saturday at noon. The other concern would be the pot luck dinner location. I'll check out the ground and if it's too soft, there is another location that doesn't hold the water. We've relocated one year over to higher ground between A08 and A09. But again, don't worry about that, we will adjust if necessary.
For those of you driving Friday, drive carefully in the rain....it looks like not doing movies on Friday night like we have in the past was a good decision.
See you all later.
Regards,
Jack
