Just a quick update on my progress. Yesterday morning I tried on the new leg for the first time. It was for fitting. Was able to easily walk with it and walked about 50 feet. They kept it for more work. Hopefully, I will have it in about two weeks. It was great to be up and around. Since it is only 4 1/2 weeks since the operation, I am doing great. Looking forward to getting out camping again soon.

Never got a schedule, but 5 1/2 weeks is better than I expected. Originally, it was said 2-8 weeks just to heal from the surgery.

Will not be able to keep the leg on full time for a while until the stub toughens up. Will learn more Tuesday.

Thanks for all the good wishes.

Jim

Thanks for all the good wishes. Got the leg on Tuesday as planned. Am keeping it on for 2-4 hours at a time. Am walking with a walker. We will be out camping soon.

Looking forward to seeing many of you soon. Anyone besides us going to Pecotonica the second week in October?

Great to hear you're recovering well. We'll miss you at the Pecotonica; we're going to the Branson Rally second week of October.

Glad to see your post Chris. I've been thinking about the very same thing. I'm determined to get there this year - no more pneumonia for me this time around. (twice in one's lifetime is ample anyway!) We're looking forward to seeing everyone again.
