Funny, we're all environmentalists....(sp), yet we still have these monster TVs that we use to haul our behinds and our Airstreams all over the place that belch out pollution and get 10mpg.........

Seems to me, even the best of us who hug trees are tree huggers of conv.

Of course when the Prius gets a more adaquate tow rating......

tree hugger

We tow with the Toyota Tundra, pretty good on gas..and I have pedalled a 1987 Toyo van (affectionately dubbed the Queermobile) since 1987. It's her 20th birthday. She still runs fast and clean.

My "road" car is a 1996 Toyota Tacoma.. I've been saving gas and burning rice forever.

I wash clothes on cold/warm powersaver, I save orphaned animals, I use auto-shutoff on everything I have except my 1973 Norelco Dial-A-Brew coffee maker, which HAS no automatic "off."

I'm an embarassment to my son :-)

Tedd,

So sorry to hear that you are not going to be able to make this years rally. Jeff and I were looking forward to meeting you and your family. I was looking forward to touring your Overlander. We will hope to meet up with all of you in the future. Good luck with your reservation.

Vickie (Mrs. Towdaddy)

Ted -- I've been looking forward to meeting you for a couple years. Guess I'll keep my eyes open for other opportunities. Can't make every party -- a no-guilt morsel of reality.

flamingo-kid1: Hey, look. I found this thread. Moraine View. I have no idea where it is. But other people in our neck-of-the-woods. *sweet*

I spent the past three hours looking through a thread with sightings of a/s. Didn't think time would fly so quick.

Hi everybody! I may not be able to make it to a rally, but I did want to meet more friendly folks. Thanks flamingo' !

Bloomington IL

Well I'm glad you found it/us!

Gary and I belong to a couple of other vintage trailer clubs, and I've been trying to get the Moraine word out to some new aluminum. (OLD aluminum, to be exact, in my case) and we are HOPING that a 1955 from our other club will show up!

Moraine View is not far from Bloomington.

OK, Jack... how 'bout Airstream has-beens?

We're going to try to clear our calendars this year and make it. It's going to be a tight spring and summer this year!

Eric... here's the link to the FIRST Midwest Rally thread in '03. This will be Midwest Rally #5!

Roger, I suspect we just don't want those has-beens who stay beyond two weeks in campgrounds... . It would be great to meet you. Tight year? Right. We're going to try to make it.
