Hey all

Well..We are still in St.Augustine at the moment but are headed back tomorrow. We came home for a couple of days during the weekend though.I promised my Mother I would do something for her but we came back. The surf here has been ok but I think today will be ok.
I have finally caught up on some reading and you really have to keep up with this thread or you will be behind several pages.
About the Avatars page.I am not really doing that.I will have the Name Badges for you all and then a sheet of paper with the names, site#,and forum names on it.Also I will pass out a simple map of the area we are all staying in.I thought this would help a bunch with the location of everyone. If you do not want to be on the list just let me know.I totally understand.
I will also have my printer available so if there are any new comers with there Airstreams that suprisingly show up I can make those for them also.
I have been looking at the banner I had made and it just seems to me that it would be nicer to have it with the logo instead of just the writing I had done.I just got rid of my corel x3 software and dont have it anymore to vectorize artwork.(I am now looking at Adobe Illustrator.)But would any one be able to set one up vectorized for me?It seems doing a bitmap of it does not get what you want.If all else I will have to redraw it to get it right.

Talking about the movies. You know. The cars for the kids might be something to thinkl about.Plus it would probably keep them at bay for a little while also.

Contest...I was thinking mabey instead of having a favorite Airstream or longest distance why not put everyones name in a box and pull it from that. Then it would give everyone a chance.

Food...Is everyone in agreement with the potluck starting around 5:00P.M.?
I really can not say much for happy hour but it seems that will be nonstop once you arrive on the site

Hawkings Technology--Thanks for the info on that and from others I am going to purchse some of there products and it seems you can hook it up to your laptop so this will be intresting to see if it works in topsail.

Airstream Rally theme.Ptrvr...That is pretty cool what you are doing with the printout.I may have to make one for myself but you are right though it does pixalate really bad when you enlarge it.Just one of those things that happens. If you really want to make one though,You could always print it then laminate it with the simple laminate sticker and place that outside also.I can not say how long it will last though but it shouls do good over the weekend I would think. Also you could gluestick it to something for a hard backing also.A quick simple way to set something up for the Rally.

Signs...I will be brinnging my plotter so if anyone does want something just let me know.

Well...That is all I can think of at the moment but you all know I will be chiming back.Talk to you all later.
This is going to be somewild party eh,,

devoman and other can openers...

5pm is too early for eating dinner, in my digestive opinion

for anyone preparing a dish it takes time beforehand, cooking and so on...

also the tables need to be setup and so on; prep takes time...

i'd suggest 6pm to eat...

that gives folks more time in the afternoon to explore or play or cook or drink ...

if set up starts at 5-5:515 we could be ready to chow down at 6...

if the eating starts at 6 that leaves plenty of time for movies at 8...

folks with really small children may feed on a different schedule regardless...

of course i'd be fine if dinner just continues from lunch or breatfast too....

just my 2cents...
2air'

also i agree a lottery is the BEST way to hand out prizes and freebies...

I agree that 6:00 is a better time for dinner. BTW, make sure that we know what time zone we are in.

I'm all for a prize lottery. That way, since Clancy Boy isn't bringing his Caravel, he'll at least have a shot at the prize.

Central Time

Either 5PM or 6PM to eat is OK but realize that here in the Panhandle (Lower Alabama) this time of the year its dark. Right now at 5:50 its pitch black outside.

Put in your resevations this is it!!!!
Howdy all. I started reading, then jumped ahead, then jumped to the end, then jumped to the middle, but had to go all the way back to post #31 for where the rally is being held! I started seeing references to Topsail weather and temps, and kinda' figured that's where. From what I recall, it's about 30 miles north of Pennsacola, but will have to look up to be sure.

I don't think we can make it though , we may be traveling up to see relatives/friends in North Carolina .

I will be checking dates though...and hoping.

we're definitely bringing our projector and screen. i just got an Optoma MovieTime! very cool. projector, HDTV, DVD, and audio all in one unit. very high tech... unlike my vintage DaLite screen straight out of the 60s. quite cool!

i think a couple others have projectors and screens as well? no way we're going to fit everyone around one screen, so we'll have to make sure we're not showing the same films! we'll be watching Raising Arizona one nite, and undecided for the other. we'll bring a selection.
