I'm also ready to make my reservations for Jan 4-6, 2008. I even liked the site that I had this year. I'll reserve Site #166 again.

Devoman - open the 2008-Florida-Can-Opener-Rally thread so that we can pile on the posts to that thread. Pick the date - I am in favor of the "same week as this year" group but intend to come 2 days early and leave 1 day later - may even try out Henderson beach the first night for variety.

Great location, great camp ground, great crowd, what else is there to say.

I too am ready to make my reservations for next year - just firm up the dates.

Personally I think the 4th,5th and 6th are good dates to do it.It is just enough days to get ready and away from new years.When trying to get rervations though I think you have to wait a month before you can do that for next year.

We just left this one and people are already gunning to make resevations for next year.So far I think about 6 people including me are ready to go again.It is moving to fast for me right now.I will post it up though sometime later but right now we have to wait anyways before we can reserve a site I think.

I just called Tops'l. They will take a reservation 11 months in advance. That means that we can start making reservations in February.

Same site for us too, #167

And as others, may come early and stay late, but offical dates of 4,5, and 6 sound best.

I wont be able to do it from March 1st to october 31.I work a lot during those times.If someone would like to do it though,go for it.March is great down here.I would sugest it be done before the second week though because they when the spring breakers hit the area.You will know it for sure.

Even though I wont be posting up the new 2008 can opener for a bit.I will be setting my reservations in when it does open up.I will get the same spot(site 162)like I had previously.Hopefully it wont be taken.

A couple of folks said they were ready to come back already. I was just suggesting that in early spring the weather is great there (and it really, really is!). Not suggesting the rally should be moved to that time. March is only a couple months away (hint).

I knew what you were talking about but I was just saying if someone would like to do one earlier they could do it.I would still do the one in the next year for sure.Then there would be 2 rallies here and then 2 rallies up in georgia making it 4 all year round.Whew...Thats a lot of touring though.

Looks almost too good...
Nothing on schedule,
3rd to 2nd shift weekend (off Friday morn, return Monday Afternoon)
200 miles +/-,
5 weeks before our big camping trip to St.Andrews,

Is that place in a fairground? and a lake too?

We were moving most of the daylight at Topsail,
So many to see, ideas to gather and interesting people, some were yankees too.
A short photo trip around the 'block' would turn into hours.

Check them out at Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds: Hiawassee, Georgia: Country Music Capital of Georgia. The place started when the North Georgia Mountain Agricultural Fair outgrew the local football field and the Lion's Club bought the land to host several different events each year.

Hi everyone, changed plans skipped Lake Okeechobee, we're in Evergades RV in Miami.

Nice place went further south sooner to follow the sun.

We will be leaving the trailer there and driving to the Keys with the TV.

Do you plan on going up there to the October one.We will be up there for that one.It seems a bunch from this rally will be up there.It is a great rally.Lots of fun and the scenery is Awsome.You should see it when the colors are changing.I bet spring is great also.
