We are driving straight through to Topsail and plan to leave Chattanooga around 0800. Our reservation is for Tuesday night onward. All is done but the hitching. See ya there!

Should we bring firewood, or are campfires not allowed?

Hope it doesn't rain

Since we just traded for the 28' in early December, I brought it to the house this weekend to get it ready for the Tin Can. Lots of hard rain produced a leaking skylight. Lots of hair line cracks on the outer bubble. From what I have read here this is not uncommon. No time to take to the dealer for replacement, so I sealed all of the screw heads and cracks. Hopefully it will hold. If not, I'll put a wash tub on top.

Hurry up Thursday, we are ready to go.

Greg

Fires

They do not allow fires in the campground and they dont have fire rings but you are allowed to bring a portable one with you that is contained.

Check in Time

Anybody know if there is any problem with early check in, with the assumption that the site is empty?

Thanks,

Richard

I called the park on this and got a less than positive response - "We could see when you arrive" was about as positive a comment I got. Maybe some of the early arrivals can check.

Water tank full - check, tires aired up - check, fridge cooled down - check check check check, ready to go.......

ptrvr.....skylite flange leaks

Greg,
Mine leaked too after sitting in the hot Florida sun for two years on the dealer lot ,but I caught the problem before any leaks in my 25fb.Only water under the flange itself from the cracks all the way around the outer area were it screws down to the opening.went to thje roofing section of Lowes and bought 6" wide roll of that sticky foil faced seal stuff with the white peel off paper that exposes the black sticky side that you cut to size before removing the paper to apply to all the flat edges and then put the flange screws back in the same holes.easy to work with and works great.MY local dealer would not work on it because I didn't buy from him, can;t say much for warranty service.anyway look forward to meeting you.I 'll be at site 125,stop in.

Wish I had thought of that before using a tube of Vulkem. My 2nd skylight isn't leaking yet so I may try your repair on it and re-do the first one. Beats driving 250 miles round trip for a warranty repair. Thanks for the good tip.

See you at Topsail; we are in 118.

Donna, Justin and Jim will not make it.

Unfortunately we have had a last minute problem pop up and we will not be able to get to the rally. Luckily it is not a major problem but will require our attention this weekend. I have site 164 reserved from Thursday leaving Sunday, I have just canceled the site and it is available.

Everyone have a great time and post a lot of pictures. We may camp in the trailer at least one night this weekend as it is ready to go anyway.

Thanks Jim
