Tin Can trailer placard

One of the attendees sent me a PM asking for details on the placard I posted (many posts back). Specifically he wanted to know (I think) how it was done. The post gives the name of the website I used to create the placard. Following the instructions on the site, I uploaded the Tin Can logo from a very early post. After that it is just a matter of following the instructions on the site. After uploading, I blew the logo up enough to fit the entire thing on 8.5 X 11 paper, printed in landscape and centered as necesary. The blowup process is very slow. You must click on an icon to make this happen (click on it a LOT). Adding the remaining printing is just a matter of following the instructions and using the appropriate icon to move the printing where you want it. Color, font size and style are all user choices.

Hope this helps.

Isn't there someone besides me coming in on Tuesday? Not sure how late it will be when we get there, but I'll scope it out and maybe proceed with a diplomatic introduction. This might be a situation where, like an amoeba engulfing food, he will be absorbed into the aluminum mainstream. He may like it!

We are getting there on Tuesday also, mid afternoon. I'll chat with some of those other sob's and feel them out. I will not mention I have a few other friends coming.

Oh boy, I can see this now, Beck. We are the scouts before sending in the heavy artillery. These poor SOBs are going to be ambushed by an aluminum army.

And then the SOB'S that have to see you drive by at the entrance of that area. There are about 20 sites you drive past to get there and there is always people in those sites. It is gonna be pretty intresting and fun.It really makes ya proud to own one these.

Time for signs

Soooo many pages now for me to find the rally sign graphics. Has anyone used Photoshop yet? Has anyone a background layer without their personal info on it?

we're not going to get there until friday afternoon, unfortunately. the misses is working on thursday. i would love to jump start things by a day, if i could.

if that guy in #163 won't move, i can bring all my original skins off my '59 traveller to at least improve my view a bit.

I'm really behind getting the trailer finished enough to travel,

still trying to get the LP, water systems and woodwork done, then the floor.

Hope we make it!

I can't get the ols A/C unit off the roof, I removed the bolts and air diverter inside- it won't budge.

Any ideas how to break the seal or gasket on this old Colman??

You got to get it road worthy even if all you can do is tent camp in it! You've invested too much into this rally to miss it. I'm sure there is a thread here somewhere that explains the ins and outs of A/C replacement.

I did a search on DIYnetwork.com and "they" said to use a long rod and pry the A/C up to break the seal. A couple of years ago they did a renovation of a 1970 Airstream and one of their projects was removing the A/C unit. For complete instructions from DIY, go to: (AUTOS & BOATS : Auto Restoration & Kit Cars : Walls, Air and Cabinets: Install New Air Conditioning : DIY Network) The instructions make it sound simple, but I bet you found it to not be so simple as it sounds. Good luck!

Hey, Santa Baby

Great web cams, Devoman. I'm asking Santa to hold back the cold north pole winds until the rally is over.

No, really, I've been a good girl this year.

We still don't have all the water going in the Peppy, Don't worry about it. Just think you don't have to dump all the tanks. We plan on using the facility's at the park.
