I need to ask a few of I'm sure will be many questions, first how far is Apalachicola from where we will be 2 years ago when we went to Disney world and then toured the coast we stumbled up on a place there I just love, since I do have a fetish for raw oysters and I think the little bar/restaurant was called Boss Oysters (they were the best) Question 2 does Topsail have cable hookups?

Cable...yes

Apalachicola is a good 2 hour + drive SE of TopSail.

What wasd that funny movie where Bing and Hope sing about going to "A p a l a c h i c o l a" ?

You have to go thru Panama City to get there, and that is always intertaining.
A nice along the beach drive if you have a day to spare.

I assume it's too cold except for a stray polar bear

We have lived here on the beach for many years. There are people who go in the gulf in January, but it is not an activity for the timid. The ocean in January is more for looking atr than swimming in.

Gulf waters do get cool in winter - maybe only moderately compared to the Atlantic where you are - but these waters are shallow and tend to have rapid temperature swings with the air temperatures. Also - there are no islands off this coast so the temps will change rapidly. Off the MS coast there are barrier islands that trap the waters and cause it to stay warm longer but then we don't have the beautiful white beaches they have in FL, ours is man-made.

Be brave and join the POLAR BEAR club - I'll watch from the shore.

Plus the Bass Pro Shop and other great malls. When we departed at the end of the summer the wife and I each had 5 pairs on new shoes a bike and other items.

So let me get this straight, I buy a beatup A/S for $1,000, refurb it for $5,000, buy a truck that has planned a visit at every gas station along the way, now your talking Outlet malls.............this Airstream is going to cost me a small fortune.

With that in mind I need to get outside and and do more of the cherry cabinet work....it's like 42 degrees.

It is time to turn up the advertising to get to 30 trailers and beyound. The other sections of the park must still have open sites. The entire park is nice.

According to Reserve America, as of this AM, Sunday, November 19, the following sites are available around Wild Oak Lane for the rally weekend:
103, 105, 107, 115, 116, 118, 121, 123, 124, 125, 128, 129, 131, 133, 134, 151, and 152.

If we could fill all seventeen of them, the SOBs would be smothered in aluminum.

Publix is 2.5 miles from Tops'l
Silver Sands Outlet Mall is 4 miles
Bass Pro is 8 miles
Home Depot is 10 miles
Super Wal-Mart is 11 miles
If you want a mall with Sears, etc, you have to go yo either Fort Walton Beach (25 miles) or Panama City (35 miles). Panama City is the better choice when you consider the traffic in Destin.
