cool! was 154 and 155 already taken by another SOB? i bet the campground would move em, if they had space. we'll be heading down from atlanta friday morning early. we're planning on leaving alpharetta around 6:00-6:30 to beat traffic, if that matches up with anyone's schedule. we might be able to caravan back home with someone. when we went to the N Ga rally, we had 3 trailers and 2 shiny boats. very fun. (plus, when stuff blows off, you get a call on the cell phone). HA!!

Hi All,
Here is a little info. about me. I started out with a Holiday rambler in 1985 and moved to a 1975 AS in 1989 and joined the GA unit WBCCI in 1989. Since then I have owned several AS trailers and moved up a year or so at the time and now have a 1991 34ft Excella.I have owned it since 2003. We don`t get to travel nearly as much as we want to due to work etc. but do enjoy those times we can go.We were at Topsail in July this year and are looking foward to going back.We like the Destin area and also the TOG Airstream park in Helen, GA. I have heard a lot of people say that I should go west when I have a lot of time so maybe one day we can travel more than a tri state area. We look foward to meeting all of you.

Will there be a list made for different dishes that people will bring for the potluck ? Davis

hey davis,

you should see if the campground can move you over to main street! it's a shame to see you stuck off in the corner there...

Hey JP,
We have a rat terrier and a chihuahua that like to travel and we chose that corner spot since we have them. But we will be walking alot with them so we can see everyone. May be they can meet some new friends as well. Davis

Site #154 is no longer available...we have it! We will arrive in the middle of the night Friday night, but we will be there if God's willing and the creek don't rise.

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone. This will sort of be our third ralley. We attended two of the Georgia/Tenneessee rallies in the past before we got our Airstream and met Kathy and Ruth and Allen and a couple of others. We are really looking forward to seeing you all again!

Gotta run but I wanted to post this right away. I'll post our RV Bio after lunch when I have a little more time.

Who are we?

We haven't made the reservation for a camp site, but will be coming on Saturday. Can't miss that pot luck! I talked with TJ this past weekend and he is thinking about coming down with us!

I have been camping for as long as I can remember. First in tents, then a pop-up with the folks, then back to tents (you know, that young adulthood thing!). My mother always wanted an Airstream and when she passed 10 years ago, she left me some $$. So...I thought the thing to do was buy one in her honor. My first one was a 1973 23' Safari that I owned for 7 years. The one I have now is a 1972 31' Sovereign and I have owned it for 3 years. It seemed like everyone wanted to go, so I just had to get a bigger one!

I am planning a trip to Shanendoah Valley for next summer (meeting a friend that lives in Pax River, MD) and hopefully out west the next year. It has been hard for me to find the time to camp this past year due to working two jobs. I have a pet-sitting business as well as my day job to keep up with. But I do mark time off my calendar twice a year for the North Georgia rallies. I have participated for the last 4 years and have met some awesome folks, some of which will be at Topsail! I also try to get several other trips in there when I can.

That's me in a nutshell, well, maybe not really. But really looking forward to meeting everyone and hearing stories! I am already counting the days!

Great

It will be good to see you again Kposey. Can not wait too see everyone else also and some new faces at that.Minnie Mate.I am glad you are able to make it.This is so cool how it became more than I had expected it to be.All we need is one more to fill that last spot in and we have the whole street pretty much. Then on to the next street behind us because I think there are a lot of openings in that area also.Come on down everybody this is going to a fun time..

If anyone is on the fence, site #152 is available and it is a pull through. I picked #154 because it is a pull through also. I figured I could get in a lot quieter than spending half an hour trying to get into a back in site.
