NO hurricanes! It can get a little cool, but not normally too bad. You can probably look up seasonal information at weather.com.

Susan is from Ft. Walton Beach, just next door. We go down there a few times a year because she still has lots of family there. There are LOTS of great restaraunts in the Destin area. Of course, she likes the ones that have been there for years and of course I can't remember any of the names at the moment. When she gets back from her errand, I'll get a few names. If you like fresh seafood, there are several places along the main drag in Destin to buy it right off the boat. Many times we will buy an ice chest full of shrimp to bring home to Georgia.

Well, we're shooting for our first campout to be in the spring. I'm just moving so slowly on the Overlander......I've got one (long) piece of the belly pan to put back on, then I can move to the interior. The interior should go a lot faster.

We'll be down that way at Thanksgiving and maybe around the first of the year, but no camper. Maybe I can run over and take a few pics for you all of the campsites.

The first weekend could work for us. We would like to meet some other Airstreamers in the area. Henderson is OK and the price is good. Tops'l costs more, but is probably one of the nicest RV Parks anywhere in the country. Two of the best restuarants in the Panhandle (the Red Bar in Grayton and the Blue Bar on 331 at the Bay) are real close to Tops'l, but not out of reach from Henderson. Henderson has Super Wal-Mart across the road, and Tops'l has Publix close by. Both are close to Silver Sands Outlet Mall. Henderson is closer to Destin Commons and the really big Bass Pro Shop. Tops'l is right on Highway 30-A which has a great bike path. Seaside is on 30-A and really worth seeing.

Ok

It seems the first sites will be open1-15 and 16-30 in january. There are only a few open at that time though and they will fill up fast once november starts because the canadians start coming down.
Topsail on the other hand has a lot of openings in the back area where most of the sites are and there are a bunch for that time in January right now.Only thing though is that it cost around $40.00 a night but with full service.

Topsail is as clean as Fort Wilderness. I am sure it fills up quickly. Here is a link to pictures of every site.

man, it's funny how quickly these things snowball! perfect! we're definitely in for the first weekend in january. let's pick a place, and book the sites! we're going to need to get bikes to ride on the beach. we'll be heading down friday morning, from atlanta really early (to beat traffic). looking forward to it!

Cool

I also say the first week because some have kids who go to school also.
So the 5th to the 7th it is.
Now which park does everyone want to choose.?
I think Henderson would be the choice to pick.I like it there plus the bathrooms and everything else is all brand new.
