Anyone have access to fire wood...We'd be glad to donate $10 toward the firewood fund, if there is one for the campfire on Saturday night.

we picked up two items for give aways...one for farthest traveled and one for oldest unit (er, Airstream that is...)

I'll be working on the updated "window" stickers for the signs next week before we leave on Wednesday.

They have firewood at the campground store. I usually pickup the wood for the fire as my donation to the rally.

We are bringing lots of firewood, there'll be enough for the campfire and ourselves, do you need some personally? We cut down a hard maple tree in our back yard a few years ago, the wood is nice and aged, and the dog keeps pulling possums from the woodpile and killing them.

I need the woodpile GONE. We'll bring as much as we can.

On the other hand, maybe Tracy can use a possum? More easily found around here than a cat :-) Let me know quick so I can retrieve one from Dephne.

Fine with me, if you got 'em, smoke 'em. If you feel like hauling it down, go for it.

Well I know there was a reason for not having the rally this weekend, and it's the weather. Looks like a lot of the midwest will be in the rain or severe storm zone this weekend and Moraine will not be spared.

But the good word is the tropical storm set to hit Fla. this weekend (sorry Fla. folks) will start the weather moving again and it will be just in time for us. According to our local weather guru and confirmed by the Weather Channel, some cool air will be coming down next week and the entire weekend (actually starting Wednesday) will be in the low 80's with night time temps in the upper 50's. Clear skys and no rain Saturday and Sunday!

Weather for Moraine View

So for those of you worrying about weather, throw that out the door. How can you not show up when its going to be so nice out??

far away?

WHY does next weekend feel like so far away??

Maybe because we have worked straight through since we went to our son's graduation two weeks ago!

We are usually closed Monday but I'm going to tough the next one out and stay open so we can head to Moraine as planned, a day early. ***

So WHY does it feel like a long time away from now???

People, if you don't sign up, don't cry when you see what a nice weekend we had.

Hi Guys,
My wife Jean is from Great Britain and has decided to bring a trifle for dessert.
Also we may arrive a day early.

Sounds good. There will be a few of us there so don't think you will be alone.

I was wondering if there was a feasible way to "swing by" this rally on my way to International (arriving 6/21)...then I looked at a map! Not exactly "on my way"...you know, all those states "in the middle" get jubbled up together in my mind ...oh well, I tried.

We'll have several earlybirds, won't we?

BigAl, don't forget to call ahead and tell the camp people about showing up a day early.

She told me no problem, so you shouldn't have any trouble, either.
