You know? It sort of reminds me of the scene in Planes, Trains & Automobiles, where the trooper pulled Del (John Candy) off the road while they were driving their burned out convertable. http://www.moviewavs.com/cgi-bin/mp3...les=pta026.mp3

Link To Moraine

Hi, All...

We are happy to see this thread, and I am adding this link so that we can easily find the reservation form. Jack might have put it somewhere else, but I couldn't find it.

1967 Ambassador

We will be there with Luna, who is all in one piece.
After reading Tedd's news, I may have nightmares!

Addendum to the Holmberg plans

We are TENTATIVELY planning a trip to Rochester, NY, with Luna, in May. Our son is graduating with his Master's. We are going to TRY to drive there, from Rockford, IL (90 miles west of Chicago) and travel up through Canada, around the lake, and back down to Rochester.

This is the TENTAVIVE plan. God willing, Luna will hold togethr, we won't get lost, snowed over, arrested at the border...

and GOD WILLING Joseph will GRADUATE and not decide to "take another class" or get tossed out of school or elope. Or whatever.

I am going to mail in reservations for Moraine this week, and PRAY that everything goes well!

The trip to Rochester is SO FAR away that it doesn't even seem like a true possibility. Time will tell, as we get closer.

I just edited out this link. Hang on before anybody makes reservation. I still have to talk to the folks at Morraine and let them know what to expect. I'll post the link and the confirmed date once I get things in order.

Don't mail in any reservations yet or you might find yourself staying alone!

Rachelle,

Good news, the Ambassador will live. I have realised that the Overlander is too far gone for me to repair. I will be using it this summer though while I get the frame fixed on the Ambassador. So I guess I will look like trailer trash with a smushed Overlander at the rally. I hope they ( and the group) do not mind.

Can we smooth it over with several rolls (maybe a gross) of tin foil?

I just found out that the youthgroup that I work with may be going on there annual work trip the week following the rally. That means that we leave on that Saturday.

If the schedule does not change I will not be at the rally. I'll keep ya'll posted.

2005 Moraine View Midwest

I recently learned that my application for the 2005 Wagon Wheels Caravan (June 11th - 26th) to the WBCCI International (June 27th - July 5th) has been confirmed so it looks like I won't be able to attend this year's event. The last two Midwest Spring Rallys have been fantastic, and I will miss getting to visit with everyone. The way June is shaping up, WBCCI events will take up much of the month with the Airstream Homecoming (May 31st - June 5th) being my season kick-off activity.

The Minuet will be getting a workout during the 2005 season as I have also pre-registered for the Rocky Mountain Region VAC Rally (August 5th - 10th) in Colorado Springs, CO.
