Are we moving Black Rock City to Walla Walla? Will the locals like it when "brando" shows up on his hog? Back to the desert and the playa, you knuckleheads.

Burning Man Theme = "The American Dream"

I am sure I am not the only one to notice that we, yes we, fellow Airstreamers, are living the American dream. It is us. With our perfect monohull aircraft hull trailers, bright aluminum symbols of american success, technology, and beautiful recreational affluence. I think that it would be minimal effort therefore for us to support the 2008 burning man "American Dream" theme with just a bit of advertising of our orca pod of trailers in the midst of Black Rock City. Many burners will be struggling with the desert while we, the priviliged few, are enjoying the comforts and style of these incredible machines. In an effort in be participative with the rest of the burning man campers I propose we hang up some car lot type flags and a couple signs with something to the effect of " Welcome to our trailers court - roadworthy symbols of why America is a great place to live." Many of our trailers are 30, 40, and 50 or more years old - a testament to American Quality and the American worker. Come on in and have a drink with us and lets talk trailers and the American Dream...

What do you all think of this concept? Its an easy route to BM theme participation on a camp level. Allen

Allen (you don't have enough "A's"), excellent! Do you write for a living? Or do you sell stuff?

But, to the point, I am not one to hide the fact that I LOVE the little silver supositories. They are great symbols of independence, classic Americana, and maybe a high percentage of "interesting" people. Not to mention craftsmen who can't put down their tools.

I like the idea of an open house (in the morning or late evening so the doors aren't open during the afternoon "visitation"). How much do these signs cost?

Whatcha got?

Okay...last weekend Michael and I bonded over terrorizing some coyotes late at night in the desert with a kazoo fest. Somehow I said I would come up with a list of who's planning to actually show up at BM and what they will be driving/bringing/towing/packing so some space planning can take place.

So here we go. Listed so far we have:

* 1knitwit
* AirstreamGypsy
* AllenPom
* ArtStream
* BamCamper, 16 ft. AS & attached Jeep, arriving Monday-Monday
* Charlyf
* ChopperPilot
* DandB^2
* Don Cook
* drsbeddor
* jyobp
* markparker22
* Phil Gobie
* silverbear
* Zenflyr
* Zeppelinium

Anyone else??
Please copy and add your particulars...
Cheers,
Bam

Thank you. Yes I write. The open house idea is great... Cost for signs should be about 2 hours. Maybe one of our group has access to a vinyl letter cutter and a dictionalairy... Our "American Dream" script could be, and certainly an open house must be, a community consensus. Allen

Kim, copy and paste the above guest list and ADD your info. You also mentioned a second trailer in your PM but only 2 people?

And yes, I do see you on the Rally page

Just enter all the info like the others have and post it.

I like your game's idea. Did you participate in the bean bag toss last year?
