Wonder how it is going out there. Puh-lenty of fluids I trust. Headline from NYTimes - "Dust storm causes some to leave Burning Man early"
http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/arts...-Festival.html
Great planning for a unique event, Michael!

ok. Home. I didn't make it to the camp - I'm sorry about that. I had 3 last minute tag along friends that were not sporting Airstreams. I knew parking wasn't going to happen in that case - the result is we ended up over in our regular stomping grounds at 9:30 and Jeep. The ground there was solid and were almost no neighbors. Intel I received told me your part of the playa (the area) was all soft and jacked up. It was loud a few nights due to being close to the Techno Camps though. Camp Walla Walla again was at the playa. I did made it to Burnstream Court - but due to the craziness and a big windy storm my plans to visit you guys didn't happen. Did you know all those guys all volunteered to work this year - wow! There was a totally cool custom Airstream there too. Allen made it to your place with some bling though! He and his brother were in our camp, or rather we were in theirs as they made it there first. I did see Michael on my way out - he was 3 cars in front of me - white dodge truck?
Anyway - here are my pics.

Hard to Describe
Those of us who made it to the camp, as promised, had a great time. Mark did leave a sign at the original location and we easily found our new site at 3:20 and Fairlane. He and Perry had a great spot all lined out complete with an overflow area.
As a first timer, I found the entire experience fascinating. I think that most of us got out early in the morning to do some touring and then returned to camp in the heat of the day. After some rest we would head back out, only to return in the wee hours. The place never shuts down. There was great music, art, and friendly people at every turn. I don't think I stopped laughing and smiling the whole week. The dust storms did nothing to dampen the mood. They were just another part of the experience. I'm still on the road and have not had time to download and edit pictures but will try soon. Ron

Chopper pilot your pictures are extraordinary! What a complete feel for being there in viewing your slideshow. I started to keep track of my favorites and by the end there were just far too many. I love the night shots in particular. Incredible work. Thanks for sharing.

Carol, I second that.
CP, your photos and captions need to be a book. What a great way for those of us who don't do The Burn to see the magic--through some exceptional photography.
Thank you!

hey all, caught a few of you as we were rolling in on monday... nice to meet ya!
looked like you had a great set up.. thanks again for the extra space offer, but we managed to find our friends from seattle.
seems everyone had a great time, as did we.. in fact, its was prolly our best year yet. being self contained made everything so much easier, we just have a few kinks to iron out with the battery vs the genny going long term out there...
if only the safari could hold an art car (im certainly not int he market for that fancy new panamerican, alas)
for any interested, heres some pics of ours, too!
(chopper, your pics are BOSS)

macks pics
see you kids next year!

A truly excellent Burn.
Our camp was great fun and even the dust storms were outstanding.
It's a definite do-over for next year.
Cheers!

I just built a site of 400+ BM pics, divided into "people", " art", "our airstream group", "cortez" and of course "girls". Pics of ArtStream may be hard to see as he keeps vanishing. High speed connection, large resolution and an open mind required.
Note: THIS SITE CONTAINS NUDITY, AS DID BURNUNG MAN, AND IS FOR A MATURE AUDIENCE. YOUNG AT HEART IS OK.
Site is http://****-yeah.org , the forum is rightfully banning the 4 letter word starting with F, you will need to replace **** with the 4 letter word starting with F in your address bar, like i said, an open mind (It was a favorite saying on the playa)
If you would like to add your pics, email them and I'll set up a section for you.
Eric and Summer - Spent an extra night at Desert Rose cleaning peaches off of several RV's
To everyone I meet - I had a great time with you all and look forward to meeting up with you again. The love, peace, community and great spirits were wonderful.

Just Back From the Burn!
We got back from our trip on Saturday evening after a slight detour to Las Vegas. (Cloudy Day won enough playing Black Jack to pay for our side trip!)
Took four days to get home. Discussed possible alternatives for an art car for next year most of the way home.
We have traveled a bit and done some pretty unusual vacations but Burning Man ranks right up there with the best of them. Thanks to all the attendees for making our first (but not last) Burn a memorable experience.
I can assure you that not all Airstream owners are conservative and stodgy!
