Allen,
Are you stuffing 5 mostly normal people into that 27 footer of yours?

Smile Five mostly normal people, two in need of a bed.

My wife, oldest daughter, and myself are staying in the Overlander. My vintage trailer has only two small fold down beds - I can't physically get more than 3 people sleeping spots in it the way it's configured. My daughter has invited two friends, Burning Man newbies - a 24 year old couple to ride and stay with us. I have offered them the use of my camping tent. I will bring enough food & water for them, but if anyone has an extra bed for a nice young couple from Seattle to get them off the ground, I am sure they would appreciate it...

Send a message via Skype™ to Zeppelinium
Michael, Goggle Girl looks better than Don or any of your other traveling companions from last year. Did you get her a ticket to ride?

I withdraw the request for space. I found out today they have not actually bought BM tickets yet.... There are more dreamers than there are do'ers. I will work with it when and if it happens. So we are down to three humans, two who are mostly normal...

Some one, AllenPom? mentioned earlier the need for someone to do some vinyl cutting?
I can make street sign type signs on aluminum or just letters for application, I have red, blue, white, green, black vinyl for lettering and orange, yellow, white (or any of the vinyls) background and whatever font windows has. I'm not much of an artist but I can make up something for us or if you can send an .eps file, I can work with that up to 48" high. What was it you wanted?,

We are living the American Dream!

Please let me know if I (we) can contribute

Hi Eric & Summer
Thanks for stepping-up!

How about some "Reserved for the AmeriStream Dream" aluminum signs.

Suggestions!

Eric and Summer;
WOW! Thank you. I am so excited about the creative opportunity before us. I can figure out what an EPS file is... But , ahhh - what is a "street sign?" and what would an aluminum street sign be - is that like a stop sign?

With your ability to make signs and the really good "american dream" burning man rear window symbol Mark / MarkParker22 gave us - I think we have the beginnings of an inspirational colaborative effort.

The Big Umungis has suggested some "Reserved for the AmeriStream Dream" aluminum signs. That would help us organizationally during the forming of the twinkie hive.

I was hoping to have just one narrative sign that expresses the we are living the american dream concept. Wait Wait - its coming to me yes yes - I read it in your message - How about your personal statement:

"We are living the American Dream" in an airstream shaped background with the top half of the BM symbol sticking up behind the trailer against a black sky. The vinyl background black, the trailer is cutout - ie naked alumimum, the lettering in the trailer outline any color that stands out, the BM symbol is blue and red, with a narrow white margin outline so it stands out against the black background. Maybe a cresent moon in white somewhere in the black backgrond and a few paper punch stars. I can draft up a consept. It is simple and makes a bold visual statement about the joy of the burning man event and airstream trailers. I'll see what I can do for a drawing.

Thanks again, this will be fun.

Allen,
I swiped the "We are living the American Dream" from your earlier post, so it's to your credit.
Yes like STOP signs, School crossing, No U turn, street names or any other like that are usually made from .050 to .120 thick aluinum sheeting.
I was playing with the WindowMan graphic Mark made, I can easily scale it and if Mark doesn't mind, it looks pretty awesome in retro-reflective orange material. (almost on fire against the black background)
I will see if I can find a large piece of aluminium for the entrance sign, hopefully the area left mill finish for the trailer can be polished up a bit before the background goes on, to make it stand out.
The reserved signs TBU suggested are no problem. (how many do you think we will need?)

Cool We are "on fire"

Eric
What do you think about simplifying the text saying to
"Tha American Dream" within the trailer outline?

That we are living it - is self evident with 20 neon crested aluminum beauties in the background.

I like the orange BM - that sounds perfect - on fire in the black sky..

I defer the number of reserved signs call to Michael or Zep - they have a better understanding of the logistics of the hive.

Hey all, I'm having some problems with the 22' Argosy I bought sight unseen for this year's BM. The problem being its a POC and I deserve what I get for my lack of dilligence. That being said, is there any objection from anyone to me bringing back this year my Silver Streak motorhome that I had at Burnstream last year? I know its not "Airstream" but it is classic vintage kin.

Thanks all.

Mitch

Of course not Mitch.

The Silver Streak is, after all, SILVER.

Isn't there a "two martini tax" for non Airstream attendees?

Yes there is.
It's in the official rule book, page 437, section 12, part B,
right next to the "24 Hour Happy Hour" rule.

I still can't figure this out.... as, a long time Dead fan (30 years) and current RatDog fan... What is this about? I have looked at the threads and still can't figure it out...I suppose a form of boondocking since there is no water or electric. Are there bands? Can children (12 year old) go or is it more like Mardi Gras in New Orleans? Sounds intriguing. thanks Gypsy
