I finally was able to get my propane tanks upgraded. Thanks to Overlander64 from Anna Illinois. I had to do a road trip to Northern Wisconsin from Georgia to clean out my mothers summer cottage. I dropped my tanks off in Southern Illinois on the way and got them upgraded with the new ODP valves. I took them in and they had them back to me in 30 minutes.
I took pics of the tanks and an antique wood boat. I also took a pic of another wood boat. I love going to Northern Wisconsin because they have many vintage boats up there. I did not see one Airstream on the road the whole time I was gone.

Reason: miss spell
Brian,
I am glad to hear your tanks are now up to code.
Neat wooden boat pictures too. I fell in love with wooden Chris-Crafts after I saw On Golden Pond way back in 1981. As there is no substantial water in our area a boat is out of the question. So I have been working on a Dumas wooden scale model of a 1930 24' Runabout. I have been at it on and off for about two years and finally have the hull planked and ready for fiberglassing. Hopefully I will finish it over the winter.

Old wooden boats are really beautiful. When I used to visit my mother at her cottage I would enjoy seeing the old inboard Chris Crafts. This weekend in Minoqua Wisconsin they have the Antique Wood Boat Show going on. They will do a parade of boats and ski show. I was pressed for time so I had to come back. Here is another boat pic.
That is a great thread. My mother has a pontoon boat she bought years ago. It has a 35 horse power Evinrude on it. It has been sitting for three years. It is really beat but the aluminum is very good on it. It is mine if I want it but it does not have a trailer and it would be a long way to pull. I would love to restore it and change the deck seating.

Did the inspector actually stamp them with an inspection date or just install a sticker?
I recently had one aluminum tank upgraded to the ODP valve and instead of a metal stamp there is now just a sort of a plastic sticker indicating the date of inspection - tough to do a good polish job working around a "permanent" sticker.
