Under trailer propane line support bracket
I crawled under the trailer for the first time since I got our 2016FC23D two years ago. I noticed one of the brackets that support the propane line has come off (screw missing but bracket itself is dangling on the line). The line itself seems still securely supported by other brackets, but I would feel better to secure this one as well.
Here is my question: what size and length of screw should I use?
Yes, I could unscrew one of the remaining ones, but I don't want to mess with the existing ones.
Does anyone know?
Thanks,
Atsushi

Personally, I’d replace the missing screw with a pop rivet. The screw fell out because it vibrated loose. Pop rivets don’t usually vibrate lose, and can be drilled out if need be.

Thanks.
Would you use the same rivet used to replace interior rivets?
If so, that's great. I already have the tool.

Only if the hole is 1/8 inch diameter or so. If it’s any bigger than that, use a 3/16 inch diameter rivet. Rivets need to fit properly in the hole to hold well. If the hole is bigger than the rivet shank diameter, a pop rivet will not expand properly nor will it hold.

And PS, almost ecery pop rivet tool will have different heads to hold rivets of varying shank size. I watched experts and avoided embarrassing myself (for once)[emoji847]

I’ve gained a lot of hand strength and strain trying to pop 3/16 rivets. I gave up and got a pneumatic one from Harbor Fright.
