These are fittings that allow you to attach an auxiliary propane tank
I recently purchased a kit from campers world and have yet to install

The new valve installs before the regulator. See my post here.

If this is twice posted I apologize. My 93 LY has a cover over the regulator. I got my EAS about a month and have never installed because I do not know what will happen if I remove the cover permanently. The EAS connection will NOT fit if the cover is on. HELP! Surely more people than me have encountered this conundrum. Cover and NO EAS. Or EAS and no cover. Advice please.

I had the extend-a-stay when I had a LY motorhome. It was definitely worthwhile and I recommend it for a motorhome. It's a huge hassle when staying in an RV park to have to disconnect all your hookups just to go and get propane. One park I stayed at had, at one time, an arrangement with a propane truck to deliver to individual sites (with an additional $5 delivery charge). By having the extend-a-stay kit, I was able to mainly use a 25-lb tank and get it refilled without having to move the motorhome.
When I was at Madison for the International, I was amazed that the organizers had made no arrangement for propane delivery - particularly since I had wanted to be able to use my generator (which ran on liquid propane) instead of paying an additional $250 for 30-amp service.
The caveat with the extend-a-stay kit is to have someone who is competent to handle gas lines make the installation - mine had a slow leak until a friend who is a gas tech redid the connection.

Extend a Stay
I have used the Extend-a-stay for about 10 years. However, I do not use it to attach another tank. I use it to connect my propane grill at camp sites. You attach it before the regulator, so if you use a grill, the grill must have its own regulator. It has worked very well for me and I don't have to fool with a separate tank for the grill.

With a trailer they aren't necessary because you can just disconnect one of your tanks and hook up the auxiliary tank there. In most cases an extra-long pigtail is all you need.

Thanks for the info
I'm planning on purchasing a 100lb aux tank to leave at my place in NC and it seemed to be the best solution
