Remote Read Ready Tanks?

The 30 yr old tanks on my Excella have an analog gage on them to tell you how much is in them but it also say remote read or something like that. Did AS have a system to give you the tank levels inside the trailer?

Yes. My 1989 Excella still has the aluminum tanks with the combo gauge. The inside read gauge also still works.

Yes there is one wire from each tank gauge leading inside the trailer. There is a switch on the control panel to allow you to select each tank and an electronic gauge, just like the other waste and water tanks, that allow you to read the degree of fullness.

They are still available. Vintage Trailer Supply has them and has pictures.

See the last paragraph here (Link to 30lb Bottles at Vintage Trailer Supply). As it explains, it is built into a second bore in the propane bottles and is not an add-on but a manufactured-in feature.

I have the displays in my control panel, but don't have any bottles with the gauges.

I added a Marshal Brass Remote Changeover Indicator a while back. It works great. It only works with a Marshal Brass Regulator, though.

Well to recertify my tanks I am going to have to get rid of the remote read gages. I see the tanks and gages at VTS but not the actual pickup and readout.
