Refridgerator won't turn on

Have a stock Dometic fridge that when I try to turn on come up with an "88" reading on the LED and then "E0" and shuts off.

Propane ran out overnight and once I turned over to the second tank, shut off the fridge to restart and now it just lights up the error message. My guess is there is a bubble in the gas line but don't know what the error message really means or how to fix.

Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks, Al

Okay, found the error code: "No communication between display and power module" but no indication of what that means or how to deal with it. First trip out we had a similar refusal to cool (but no error code that I recall) which went away once we hooked up to shore power. Hoping, once generator hours allow, we can restart on 110v and perhaps that will re-establish the control panel/power panel connection. Otherwise, I foresee a bag of ice and trip to a RV dealer in my future. Make sense to anyone?

Thanks, Al

Does the refrig work with electric and does the stove work with the propane. If the answer is yes try shuting off the refrig for about ten to twenty second and turn it back on. this has worked for me when the refrig won't turn using propane.

Had the same experience last summer getting started with shore power which ssemed to restore the LP function, but now, on either, the LED lights up, errs and immediately shuts down without any attempt at an ignition sequence. Yup, stove, water heater, and furnace all reset and are operating. Started the generator for 110v but still getting the "no communication" error. Skulking about in the manual I see there are a couple fuses for the power module and for the control module. Next up.

I got the error message when my batteries died and wouldn't restart with a recharge. What fixed it was a 12 volt full system reboot. Kill all power, battery disconnect switch or pull a battery terminal.

BINGO! and THANK YOU! Going to store, disconnecting the 110v cleared the interface and appears (ever the pessimist) to have reconnected the LED control panel and cleared the error mesg. We'll see if the temp starts moving in the right direction now. (I did find the location of the fuses, but couldn't figure out how to access the guts of power panel box where the fuses are located without what looks like major knuckle busting, so am most pleased to avoid that.)

Love that when crap happens, folks here are so quick to jump in with just the bit of obscure "wish I'd known that" information to save the day!

Thanks again, Al

I recently had to open that black box to check the fuses. I found that using a small flat head screw driver will do the trick.
