Protechtor Series 2001 LP Detector Question

Our LP detector is indicating a steady red light with an occasional flash of yellow or orange. There is no alarm chirping. I have pushed the "test" button and it chirped a couple of times but didn't reset back to green. I can't find our exact situation in the owner's manual. Any ideas?

I think that is a self (internal) test error. Try removing ALL power (110VAC and 12VDC, i.e., disconnect shore power AND batteries) for 10-15 seconds, then power up again. That will reset the propane detector. If that is the problem, the LP detector should start flashing green again.

I just had an "issue" with mine.
Noticed it had stopped flashing green every 8sec (normal) to
red/yellow every like three minutes: No "chirps".
I thought the Protector was supposed to be direct to the battery?
