Exclamation Propane Tank Warning

Below is a link that my sister just sent me from California. It relates to propane tanks that you might exchange at grocery stores or other places. Wanted to make sure this was seen so everyone is safe, so I have created this thread. She sent an additional link to back this one up in case this link was created as a hoax, so be on the lookout.

Anhydrous Ammonia Safety Alert - National Propane Gas Association

I printed out the warning page, and dropped it off at our park office. They get all kinds of tanks to refill around here.

Glad that some people have seen the post! Hope others will too, and yes, pass it on to anyone your feel might need it including those who use propane for their grills, as we do.

Hi, thanks for the warning; Good information to know. But I personally never exchange tanks. I bought all of my tanks new and know where they have been and what has been done with them; Less problems or surprises with them this way.

In the original post, the author said there was the possibility it might be a hoax.

FYI: There is a website which verifies or 'busts' most hoaxes and urban legends. WWW.SNOPES.COM

If you think you've gotten something that seems suspicious or you just want to check out a story, you can enter the main text in the search area and you should probably get a hit on whether or not it's real.
