I know I'm missing some hardware.I have the t-bar the big wing nut the rod in the middle. What tightens the tanks down so they don't go flying off.Oh, it's for a 76 Sovereign

Part #3 screws down on the holder "T" (#1) to keep the tanks in place. There is also a washer and nut above #3 to keep it from backing off.

Scott,
You need this:
Gas Bottle Hold Down 410238 [410238] - $12.95 : ODMRV , Out-of-Doors Mart and this:
Gas Bottle Hold Down Bracket 100949 [100949] - $14.95 : ODMRV , Out-of-Doors Mart and, of course, the threaded rod which the wingnut threads onto.
Bill

Threaded rod?
My AS is missing all of the hold down bracket parts and tanks, so in addition to the stuff here, where would you get the threaded rod, and how is it secured to the piece the tanks sit on?

I bought a rod at Home Depot. My rod attached to a round tube on the frame and I used nuts and washers to secure it.

OK, so its simple. You just use a wingnut on top of the aluminum things shown in the diagram above, to secure it all? I just have the plate for the two tanks, mounted to the frame, with a hole in the middle for the threaded rod.
Thanks!
