I'm converting my generator to propane and hope to use one of the two tanks for the generator instead of hauling another tank with me.
However, I have dual, automatic switchover propane regulator. If I disconnect from the tank that I'm connecting to my generator, there will be an unused connector. Do I need to find a plug for that connector while it's not connected to anything? Or does it not matter?
We put a "tee" fitting in where the flex line from the regulator meets the copper trailer supply, installed a ball valve and a quick connect.
Well, almost the same thing - the quick connect I bought had the shutoff built in. I have a bracket for my gas grill just outside the door and hook it up when camped. I tested the generator on the fitting at full load in the driveway and it worked great, but I haven't used it camping yet.
