Propane gas access...

Where is the easiest place to tap into the gas system inside the rig? I want to add a quick disconnect to the interior of the AS-FC25FB for a propane portable heater. We will be using a Mr. Heater...opening roof vent and cracking a window. Any help/suggestions??

The best place to tap into a propane line is under the trailer. RV code prohibits propane connectors inside the skin of a trailer other that the final connection to the gas appliance. So, from the heater, furnace, fridge, etc., there needs to be one continuous unbroken gas line going outside down through the floor and the belly pan. Then you can tap into an existing propane line using a tee with flare connections. Be sure to protect the gas line where it passes through the belly pan with a grommet and floor with vulkum or a similar sealant.

Are you concerned about carbon monoxide? The relative small interior volume of an AS is potential for a problem with a combustion process going on inside it. Are you on shore or generator power most of the time? I have found that a small electric heater does a good job.
