Propane, adding a BBQ tap

Hi all
2003 25SS, in decient shape but I like to putter.
I had a pinched propane line under the tongue, it appeared right under a bolt mark from a previous hitch assembly, prior owner. Every thing still worked but it bothered me, so decided to replace my entire reg assembly & hoses. I purchased a 4-ft long hose past the regulator so I could cut out the pinch and put on a new flair. I also decided to put in a low pressure tap for a BBQ. I'm not quite done, and need to secure things a little better. I thought some of you may be curious.

Propane, adding a BBQ tap

One suggestion, put some of that “split loom” corrugated stuff over the rubber gas line to protect against chafed rubber and UV sunlight exposure. Use rubber-lined aviation-type clamps over the corrugated stuff to route the line. You’ll find that the hose stiffens up and cracks due to sun exposure.

Also use the rubber-lined clamps to hold the copper line to the bottom of the A-frame to prevent damage. I mounted my low pressure port on the A-frame to make it easier to reach and hook up. Also put a shut-off right after the rubber line as an emergency leak stopper at that point. My tank cover takes a while to get into.

Looks very nice!

Thanks for the advise rmkrum.
Unfortinutatly I was tidying things up before I read it. I think I did everything except the split loom, I may still run it between the hangers. I used 3/16 pop rivets in the original holes. The propane line is now tucked up inside the A-frame, out of the way of the spare bracket, and hopefully out of the way of an equalizer, that hasn't been purchased yet. In order to use the original holes I purchased some LARGE automotive loom holders and reformed them with smaller loops and extended mounting holes.

Hi
Components used.

I purchased Marshall Excelsior MER42512 12" hoses, they worked ok.
The reg is an exact but newer replacement to what was on the trailer, Marshall Excelsior MEGR-253P.
The low pressure hose, downstream of the regulator, I purchased a 4' model because of a pinch I had in the copper line under the tongue that I cut out, is a Marshall Excelsior MER610-48P.
Used a 1/4 bottle of Dawn dish-soap to bubble test all the connections when I was done.

I purchased all the components on Amazon.
