One way to keep the propane tanks secure

I purchased a padlock by BOLT specifically to be used with the Dodge TV. It measures 2" inside the shackle and is now keyed to the TV ignition/door key.

I drilled an oversize hole 7/16" in the top wing nut and 11/32" holes through the aluminum frame bracket of the tank enclosure and the propane valve support. The lower wing nut can not be moved either because of the padlock blocking it's rotation.

A photo can be seen by clicking on the number after the word 'images' below my avatar to the left. The photo was taken in vertical mode, but importing it into the gallery made it lay horizontal.

I like this idea and will retrofit my tanks, and buy a couple of bolt locks for various uses.

Thanks,

Tom
