Newbie Advice on Propane and Propane Accessories

Hello all,

I am a newbie and need advise on the below. It seems its being double regulated on the gas grill side but makes no sendse why the pit will burn when directly hooked to the big tank but wont when I connect the 12 foot extension hose assemblt the same.

This is my little fire pit. It has the big plastic nut that screws to the propane tank direct and works if I have no extension hose.

Below is the 12 foot extension I bought to plug into my bottle using this adaptor http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/item/propane-steak-saver-adapter/24028

Once I connect it all I get an initial light up but it trickles down to no flame right away.

This my BBQ that I am trying to use

If I plug the green bottle up I get a good flame and can cook. If I use the same as above 12 foot hose with Acme nut plugged into my bottle on the truck I get a very week flame. I also have this 12 foot extension hose that I was planning to plug in as well to get the BBQ away from the RV.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Hank Hill

If it works when connected directly, but not when connected through the extension hose, then the first thing to check is, are there any leaks? Same way you check a leaking tire, apply soapy water to the outside of the hose, paying particular attention to any connector fittings.
