Need help troubleshooting elec / gas water heater

I have recently purchased an '01 Excella 31'er. It has a water heater that has the electric option. The gas side of the heater works fine but I don't think that the 120v electric side is working and I'm not sure how to troubleshoot the problem. I found a 2amp fuse on the panel and it looks good but I would appreciate some ideas of what else to look at. I guess the heating element could be bad also ????

Thanks all,
Am still on the road and heading home from a trip out west. Spent 3 days camping at the US Air Force Academy last week and there were 4 of us Airstreamers there. We were all different sizes too. Nice to see others out and about enjoying their AS.

See ya on the road sometime.
